My opinion is Gamestop is not a fair retail store. I don't feel like they care one bit for the customers best interest, just making a sale it seems like that's how the store employees are trained. Thumbs down 👎

Jared Z is unprofessional rude and condesending. I've been in a number of times and had him insult my preferred gaming, throw a fit over a trade and watched him laugh at another customer for not knowing when a game comes out. Sad because other associates in the store are top notch. Strongest avoidance advised when dealing with him.

The 2 stars is because ill still use gamestop. Jus not this one. I called to see if they have a game. The gentleman that answered the phone, did not seem very friendly when I said hello but I thought nothing of it. I walked into the store with my daughter, the employee was working on a trade in with another costumer, he looked up and saw that I had a bag with a PlayStation in my hand and rolled his eyes. He then asked me if I was doing a trade-In so I said "yes, a PlayStation 4 towards a game" he rudely asked me if it's updated when I said yes he just said "complete" took me a second because I thought that he meant [is the update complete]. when you do not communicate in full sentences. It's hard to decipher what is being said. I then said "ohh, yes, everything. But the HDMI wire, I don't need that right" again in a ignorant tone he says "ill sell you one for $15". When I called the Providence store to ask if I need the hdmi wire they said they would take the cost of a wire off the trade. I know its the same thing as buying one but the delivery of the information matters. The employee here was really just rude. We stopped home for a hdmi wire and went to the dayville store, which is the same distance. The offer was too low but I didn't mind and bought my game.(going to do a review of that store because the employee there was great) I noticed another customer mentioned the same situation about a month ago in their reviews, and like they said, if you do not want to be doing trade-ins, just leave gamestop and work elsewhere.

GameStop positions itself as a purveyor of gaming culture, yet the quality of expert advice often falls short of the sophistication one might expect from a specialty retailer. While staff are generally enthusiastic, their guidance can be inconsistent, relying more on personal familiarity with popular titles than on a structured understanding of gaming ecosystems or hardware specifications. For the discerning customer seeking informed recommendations, this variability can undermine confidence. Nevertheless, the store remains a convenient hub for mainstream gaming products, though its advisory services would benefit from more rigorous training and standardized knowledge dissemination.

Jamie’s review on here is simply untrue. He pointed to the area where the gift cards are, yes but he pointed to the side where the Roblox gift cards were hanging! When Jamie and her mother came back with the steam gift cards she kept verbally abusing her mother right in front of the manager and made her mother storm out bc of how upset and embarrassed she made her feel AND told the manager he should confirm every gift card purchase is the correct one they need which is just unnecessary. Gift cards are non refundable and are final sale everywhere you go, the manager even gave them a solution to fix it from his prior experience with a gift card that he had in the past. The associates here know what they’re doing, maybe don't post misinformation to make them look bad, okay?
