I purchased a game that did not have a pre order code as stated so I asked for a refund same day, rather than receive a refund they “voided” the purchase altogether. A week passed and the charge went through on my card, when I inquired about this the manager, billy, said he could not offer a refund as and i quote, “make the store look bad.” He insisted he had to call his regional manager for permission and went into the back and “talked” to him. I’ve been informed by some local employees there was a not a present regional manager at the time. billy relays to me after that imaginary confirmation from their non existent regional manager that under no circumstance can he give me a refund and directly tells me to chargeback with my cc. I chargeback with my cc and gamestop disputes the claim and ONLY CONCEDES after I send proof of the void receipt and the original purchase receipt of which the void receipt could not be printed again, luckily i took a photo of it at the time of purchase. Gamestop customer support said this was a local issue and to contact the store and stated that it is WELL within their power to refund the purchase. The store manager just refused to preserve store performance optics and opted to flat out lie instead. As a small business owner I find this behavior repulsive and retraining or rehiring is recommended. I eventually did receive the refund via chargeback but this could have been avoided if any competency was present. I’d advise to shop at the other location half a mile north.

I purchased a switch 2 pro controller after I asked the guy at the counter if it was compatible with switch 1's to which he confidently said yes. Come to find out later when I actually try to use it it is NOT compatible with the switch 1. There is no reason you should confidently tell a customer that a $100 product will work in a certain way if you have no idea at all, and I am pretty sure he said yes just to get the sale. Absolutely disgusted by this behavior, and I know these people are being pressured by their company to make these sales no matter what, but maybe they should be pressured to quit working here so that gamestop can stop wasting peoples money and time. Just avoid going to gamestop in general, but if you have to go don't trust anything the workers say.

As someone who spent most of his adult life in retail and management, I wanted to give a huge shout out to Joe and Sarah at this store. First time I've ever been in this store and these two might be the two most polite and professional people that I have been helped by at a Gamestop. Keep it up!

Guy refused to let me buy baseball cards without getting a membership. I rarely shop there just wanted some cards and leave. I told him I’m fine without the membership 7 times and kept pushing so I left somewhere else to get them.

I am in the middle of handling a really bad experience with this guy, "Billy", that my mother had while I was at work. He was reported to corporate of gamestop and gamestop district.. this all recently happened so I believe the last 3 "positive" reviews are to cover up all the negative ones that follow. He is charging people things they didn't ask for, harassing people to buy memberships they don't want, and being rude and disrespectful when they don't spend more on these things. He asked my mom, where she lived.. not sure how that's relevant to shopping there, going forward with reporting and I feel bad for those that had the same experience there. Additionally, he charged my mom something she didn't want for 5 dollars.. she was so upset that she just left.
