I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was upsetting enough that I feel other customers should know. I brought my 10-year-old son in to exchange a game controller that had an active warranty. The issue with the controller was stick drift, which doesn’t always show up during a basic connection test. The assistant manager plugged it in, said it was working, and refused to listen when my son tried to explain what was actually wrong. What upset me most was the way she treated him. Instead of listening, she accused my 10-year-old son of lying and claimed he was changing the settings. He became so overwhelmed that he started crying. When I went back inside to address the situation, rather than trying to resolve the issue, the assistant manager denied what had happened. Both employees behind the counter raised their voices at me, and I felt like they were ganging up on me instead of trying to help. It was unprofessional and completely unacceptable customer service. The entire reason we purchased the warranty was for situations like this. Instead of honoring it or working with us to find a solution, they dismissed us and treated my child with disrespect. No customer, especially a child, should be accused of lying or leave a store in tears over a warranty claim. We won’t be returning to this location, and I hope management addresses how customers—especially children—are treated.

The initial visit was Great I was helped by Susan the assistant store manager. And she basically sold her product well. I was picking up some games for my 5 year old and talked to me about their pre owned options. Mentioned if my daughter didn’t like I could bring it back and return. Never in the interaction did she mentioned me needing my ID. Now I get it, everyone goes through this process, I’m not expecting special treatment, I was just annoyed that I needed an id to process this cause I have recently ordered a new one. So basically I lose out on the 7 day return policy and said maybe when I have my id give me store credit. All I’m asking is be detailed in explaining all this when I purchased the product without an id I expected it to be that simple but nope was never mentioned I would have never purchased it in the first place. Definitely not coming back I’ll just stick to digital. Please for future customers explain all the procedures. And I get it it’s corporate policy but sometimes the details are more important to catering to everyone’s needs. I would have just purchased at a different time. Don’t tell me all I need is the receipt then change it up. Super disappointing I even signed up for a membership and I guess I’ll just cancel and stick to the main manufacturer and their digital options

I already don't care to go to Gamestops anymore due to the policies, customer service and overall they just don't provide anything for the gaming community anymore; but goodness today was the nail in the coffin for me. At least at this location. My friend and I came in looking for a specific game, which was sold out at the other place we went to, and this Gamestop was in the area. My friend asked in which the employee (Susan) gave her the "you should pre-order next time" pitch. No. We shouldn't have to pre-order a basic game and we definitely aren't doing it from Gamestop. Then the usual signing up for the membership pitch came out, which my friend politely declined and naturally employee pushes cause they can't take no for an answer. I get it, you guys have to sell these things for the numbers, but "No thank you" should be enough. She persists that we come in once a month cause she has seen us before (we don't, barely even go to Ingram) and I let her know we don't but thank you. My friend is done with her transaction and she just skips and starts talking to the customer behind me, even though I'm about to purchase. Doesn't give me the pitch but you can tell since I already declined once, that the whole mood has changed because during my whole transaction she was talking and trying to do the transaction with the customer behind me (also bombarding this person with the pitch). It's retail, I will give the benefit of the doubt maybe it had been a long day already, they don't get paid enough sure. But the customer service at this location is always so abysmal. I did get my game though so I won't give it a 1-star. Definitely won't go back to this location though.

Guy with long hair doesn’t seem to like no for an answer about not wanting to sign up for the extra rewards program… he doesn’t seem to understand that people can feel his energy switch after refusing to sign up no need to be rude and led nice and trying to guilt trip a costumer not going back to that store
