GameStop - 3911 - Shoppes at Riverfore

Great store when it's actually open. Showed up today (Sunday). They are supposed to open at 10am. No sign or note on the door saying they would be closed. Waited till 11 and still no show.

Randomly called GameStop 15mins before closing time to see if they had a pre owned Xbox Series X available and if we got there right before they closed, would they still sell it to us. Usually places don’t answer the phones right before they close, but Ms. Janet did….and she said if we got there she would definitely have it waiting for us. She was awesome, super nice, didn’t rush us out the store. Great Customer Service! Thanks for being spectacular 🤩

Worse staff ever honestly .. I placed a same day delivery. I got a email saying it was ready for pickup so I called to check up on the order and the employee tried to tell me it was a Pick up order which I knew it wasn’t because of email confirming it would be dropped off. But she insisted that it was a pickup so I caught A uber to the store just to tell me now I can’t pick it up because it has to be picked up and delivered . I go home go to wait on the delivery only to find out my order was cancelled because the uber driver couldn’t scan the barcode . So my order was canceled without my knowledge and it still doesn’t say my order is canceled to get a refund. I just want my money back abd ai will never order from there again !

Went to the store on 1/30 at 4:00pm to trade in my Nintendo Switch Oled console along with my games and an extra controller. Spoke to two employees who were there and told me that they don’t do switches. They said an employee named Katie would be able to do the trade. I asked if they could do it but said they are “not familiar.” with it. I was shocked because as a former employee of GameStop the training process is that each employee was taught how to do trades for each console, unless the policy has now changed. I was told she would come in within the hour around 5-6pm. I came back around 6:00 and she still wasn’t there, I spoke to the same employee and she said that Katie should be here but hoped she would come in within the hour. I asked if i could trade in my games and controller instead but was informed she still couldn’t do the trade due to it being busy. (Sorry but 3-4 customers is not busy). I will never set foot in another GameStop after this experience.

It's 11:16AM Sunday 12 January 2025. I've witnessed close to six vehicles pulling up myself included. This place is a ghost town. You can't have business hours posted, and then just do whatever you please. 12 years of poor performance I'm surprised this store even stands today. Must be all that Wallstreetbets earnings that saved it.
