GameStop - 3503 - Jacksonville

Went in trying to find Pokemon cards for my nephew. Specifically a ETB , those are priced at $100 when msrp is $50. Was then told by the employee that $100 is market value when it isn’t , the proceeded to tell me that it depends what ETB and where you go. Then a booster box that’s $26 and change market value at other stores like Best Buy , would’ve been $61 after tax and 5% pro rewards discount. Absolutely ludicrous that GameStop is charging over DOUBLE what msrp of a product is. That’s worse than scalping resellers in certain circumstances, absolutely pitiful and will NEVER do business in GameStop again.

Just stop by there today to pick my wife up a game. For the switch 2 waited 30 minutes for three people behind the register to figure out what they were doing. We got checked out. We don't live near about 45 minutes away, got all the way home. My wife went to go play the game that was she had bought, and it's not even in the case. I'm just at a lost for words like how can you be this incompetent.So naturally, I try to call the store, and of course, no one knows how to answer a phone either. Hopefully I get the game I paid for if not, i'll just have to write off the seventy dollars as a lesson learned, just buy everything online directly from the source, I wouldn't mind paying a middleman upcharge, but when the middleman completely sucks at what they do.What's the point. But hopefully this gets out 2 other people before they potentially shop there.

I really liked this location. It seemed to be clean and well stocked. The staff was friendly and helpful, and I was able to find the game I was looking for. Will definitely be back.

I want to shout out the employee Willie for him being a total Rockstar! I was in the store and needed to do a trade in for some items that I had in exchange for store credit. The store was a little busy but Willie took his time with each customer and was very respectful. Coming up to the counter, I handed him my stuff for trade in and even though I was running a bit behind for an appointment, Willie got me out in good time and I still made it to where I needed to go. I want to also make a PSA and tell everyone that the people who work here are still human beings, they are doing the best they can and I'm very appreciative of their help and service!

I had a very disappointing experience at this location. There was only one employee working while more than four customers were waiting in line. One customer had a trade-in issue and was complaining about the lack of proper training, which delayed everything even more. The wait time was excessive, and there was essentially no customer service support. This situation could have been handled much better with proper staffing and training. Very frustrating experience.
