As a business owner in a customer-facing industry, I can completely see why GameStop is struggling. While corporate focus seems to be elsewhere, the actual stores are delivering some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I have been buying and selling games here for most of my life and have maintained my Pro status for years—even though we buy most games online now—simply because I wanted to support the brand. Not anymore. In January, my son pre-ordered a collectible Jujutsu Kaisen (JJK) toy from this location, which had a release date of February 26th. When release day arrived, we didn't receive the usual courtesy call. I called the store, and they told me they didn’t have any left but advised us to keep waiting as more might arrive. Fast forward to June. For months, my son called every two weeks to check on the status. It never came in, which happens, but the staff continually told him to just wait. In May, we went in person to speak to a manager and ended up dealing with Jonathan. He wasn't the most courteous, but I gave him the benefit of the doubt that it was just a bad day. Crucially, during that entire conversation in May, Jonathan never warned me that there was a deadline for cash refunds, or that waiting would lock our money into store credit only. This week, I went in late at night to finally cancel the order. Jonathan tried to process it, hit an error, and called a representative to see why the refund wouldn't go through. The person on the phone explicitly told him he needed to call tech support for assistance to resolve it. Instead, he hung up and simply told me they couldn’t give me a refund—only store credit. My 16-year-old son works hard for the money he saves. For a business to essentially say, "We are keeping your cash, failing to deliver the product, and you can only spend it here," without any prior warning, is insane. When I understandably became upset, Jonathan chose to blame the customer rather than help solve the problem. I asked him to call tech support just like the customer service line had instructed him to do. He flatly refused. I have never encountered an employee with this kind of attitude at a GameStop before, though reading other reviews here, it seems I am not the first to have issues with how Jonathan handles customers. As a business owner, I would never want someone like him representing my company. Stringing a 16-year-old kid along for months, never warning them about a restrictive refund window, and keeping their cash is the absolute definition of a predatory business practice

Dante and Liana (hope I spelled correctly) are two of the best GS employees my husband and I have ever met. My husband has been looking for a certain GI Joe figure that we have yet to find. This GS said they have one in stock. We couldn’t find it. They did not stop or give up trying to figure out where it was. They found it! We were so impressed with their determination to find it. aJust a great overall performance experience!

Jonathan and his crew were fantastic. They went out of their way to accommodate me on an in store order pick-up I placed from out of state. I have wanted this Flux Capacitor replica for awhile and had no idea it was available at GameStop until a couple weeks ago. This was one of the few stores that still had any and I just happened to be flying in to Tampa. Thank you all so very much. "See you in the future"

Worst experience ever at a Game Stop. I asked an employee about an item, his response was “I have no idea” and turn around and proceeded to ignore me. I asked for his name and he told me to “get a life”. His manager John came out. His attitude was slightly better, but never apologized for his employee’s crappy behaviour. There seems to be a lot of high horses in that location. What a joke.

To the male employee that was working there around noon today: maybe instead of talking about your personal trading card collection, coach me on how to properly take a 20-dollar raw card that could be worth at least 100 out of a slim penny sleeve if your'e supposedly so knowledgeable and helpful. I don't care about what collection you have, if you are knowledge and see someone struggling, help them. I'm never coming back here and I'm getting my stuff graded through a different process now.
