Store manager (Joey) denied a refund for an unopened product. I realized the gaming headset was not cross compatible (usable on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox) even though the product description online claims it works for all three as well as Nintendo switch. When I went to return the item the day after purchase the store associate accused me of opening the product because the factory seal sticker was not in perfect condition when the box clearly had not been opened. I came back later to speak to the store manager, who also accused me of opening the product. He wouldn’t honor the refund policy either. I spoke to customer service who said I was entitled to a refund per return policy being that the product was deficient and to request the distract leader’s phone # from the store manager. Joey refused to give me the the district leaders number. So I was forced to file a complain against the store manager with customer service. When I calmly and professionally asked why my return was being denied, explained that the online the product description is unclear, that the box was unopened and requested the distract leader’s phone number, Joey didn’t answer but instead threatened to call the police on me if I didn’t leave immediately. I felt extremely uncomfortable and threatened by my experience with Joey and will not be returning to the store under any circumstances. As a customer of GameStop for the last 20 years, I will not be going to another store ever again.

Not impressed with the Fort Dodge location. There is and always has been a 'Supply and Demand' issue here. They carry a small inventory and it does not support the demand factor, especially for the area. New Releases are in limited supply and if you have to order something in the store, your going to be waiting up to a week before you see it. On another note... The Xbox inventory for games and accessories has slowly diminished over the years at this location.

It's a decent store with decent variety. Plenty of games to search through, shirts, wallets, action figures, all sorts. I do miss, however, the gaming systems open to play in the store. It would be nice to try out the new games before we buy them. The store used to be really fun to go into. The decor is nice to look at, but really, I usually never buy a game in there and it's probably because I don't know what I'm buying. They did probably stop the in-store gameplay because of theft, but I'm sure you can find some way to prevent it.
