GameStop - 2551 - Walnut Hill

They have games, trinkets, some clothes products, cards, systems, and accessories. Great place for how small the store is.

Some nice people working there and seemingly well stocked atleast for what I was purchasing.

I bought a Team Rocket Tin and upon opening and inspection of booster packs, I can't help but think this product was re-sealed. Packs had un-even edges, seemed full of air, and had small openings in the corners of almost every booster. I called the store and brought it up that it might be re-sealed. I didnt accuse the store itself, or the person on the phone. However, they immediately claimed they "knew nothing" and "that's the way we get them". I was also told all card sales are final. This was all before I even tore a pack. After opening all 5 boosters and not getting a single EX or full art, my suspicions only feel more confident.

I do very much appreciate this GameStop in Woonsocket and the team of employees there. They are always on top of things at this store. They are well organized, fair, and follow procedures well. I am however very sad and upset that the Pokemon card prices have gone way up. I also know this out of the store's control and these things are decided at a much higher level of the company it just still is very sad and frustrating. I've been going to GaneStops for Pokemon cards for a very long time. Back before all the madness started even. Back when you could walk in and look through a large selection and get exactly what you wanted without much issue. Anyways. I do appreciate the store and the employees there. Thank you all.

Unfortunately a lot of those posting here are not familiar with current GameStop policies. They do require ID for ANY kind of return or exchange as of about June/July last year. There also has not been anyone named John working there in the last 6-7 months at least possibly much longer. Not sure who that story is about. All of the employees currently there are perfectly reasonable as long as you listen to them while they’re explaining a process or policy to you. I fear how many of you are unaware you lack basic manners.
