Since when has Gamestop been cool... I don't know how you have employees, I'd be broke! And that's not even the technology of it all! 🤣😭💀🫶🏽😍🥳

⭐☆☆☆☆ I stopped in to buy two packs of trading cards because I happened to be near this GameStop. It was going to be a simple $15 impulse purchase. The wall was noticeably full of trading cards, so there didn’t appear to be any inventory shortage or reason for extra restrictions. Instead, I was told I needed to create an account and was encouraged to sign up for a Pro membership. I didn’t want a Pro account—or any account at all. I just wanted to buy two packs of cards, pay, and leave. The employees were courteous, so this isn’t a criticism of them. My frustration is with GameStop’s checkout policy. Adding unnecessary account requirements and membership upsells to a small purchase creates enough friction that I decided not to buy anything. A $15 sale became a $0 sale for no good reason. If GameStop wants to compete with local game stores and other retailers, it should make it easier—not harder—for customers to make simple impulse purchases.

I went to this GameStop to purchase hello kitty game for Nintendo switch and I had other game and I went to check out and the sticker price on the hello kitty game case was 24 and it rang up for 40 dollars and the name of the game on the pad to tell me the total of purchase didn’t match the game I had in my had is so I ask gaege why it said 40 and not 25 and he just said oh well someone must of put the wrong tag and I can tell gaege didn’t want to honor the price the on the case was so I told I’ll wait on the game and so I looked up on GameStop.com to see the price and I showed him and gaege could was it must be a online price and the web page didn’t say it was a online price and Normally GameStop Honors the online price from there web site. Disappointing Experience at that GameStop and gaege wasn’t to friendly he needs to work on his customer service.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Best GameStop Experience of My Entire Life — No Exaggeration I don’t usually write reviews, but this GameStop in Albuquerque, New Mexico absolutely deserves one of the longest, most heartfelt reviews on the internet. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with genuine energy, kindness, and professionalism that you just don’t see anymore. The store was clean, organized, and had that nostalgic gamer vibe that instantly makes you feel at home — but what truly made this experience legendary were the employees: Gauge and Omar. Gauge is the definition of customer service excellence. Knowledgeable, patient, funny, passionate, and unbelievably helpful. He didn’t just answer questions — he actually listened. He took time to explain options, gave honest opinions, and made sure I walked out feeling confident and excited about my purchase. You can tell he truly loves what he does, and that energy spreads to everyone around him. And Omar — absolute class act. Friendly, professional, calm, and welcoming. He made the entire experience feel smooth and effortless. No pressure, no rushing, just genuine respect and care for the customer. He treated me like a valued guest, not just another transaction. Together, Gauge and Omar turned a simple GameStop visit into an experience I’ll actually remember. That’s rare. They were patient, knowledgeable about games, systems, accessories, memberships, trade-ins — everything. No attitude. No awkwardness. Just straight up excellent human beings doing their jobs at an elite level. I left the store not only with what I needed, but in a better mood than when I walked in — and that says everything. If corporate GameStop is reading this: Protect these two at all costs. Promote them. Pay them more. Clone them. Because this is exactly the kind of team that keeps customers coming back. If you’re in Albuquerque and thinking about which GameStop to go to — go to THIS one. Ask for Gauge and Omar. You won’t regret it. This location didn’t just earn 5 stars — it earned loyalty. Absolutely phenomenal. 👏🎮🔥

We had previously attempted to get a replacement for a recently purchased defective/warrantied headset. After a visit to a different store, and customer service call with no help, Luis at this location completed our transaction quickly and effortlessly. I will be coming back to this location just because of him.
