GameStop - 1397 - Menlo Park Mall

Its currently 11:09am and its close I came to trade in my controller but had to leave what an upsetting day

Game Stop #1397 Menlo Mall store engaged in unauthorized billing and point-of-sale cash skimming. The associate explicitly skimmed $25 from my Adult Autistic daughters Switch Lite trade-in to activate a Pro Membership after she refused it twice. The associate was beyond pushy and insensitive IMMEDATELY after my daughter questioned the charge when receiving less money than expected. The store employees are actively blocking my access to the District Manager. My daughter is currently unemployed and was in the store to trade in a Nintendo switch light and two games for cash so that she could buy groceries for herself. I called the store asked for manager and requested the money be given back to her for this membership and was given the runaround. They said they could not do this and I would have to call customer service. I insisted to give the district manager my phone number and reach out to me directly, but they said they couldn't do that. I don't even know if I was speaking to the store manager honestly. I think the 2 girls were legit just regular employees covering for one another. I am absolutely disgusted at the mere disregard for our situation and the pushy tactics. Game Stop needs to do better. horrible service. mean clerks and just about every game i brought up to the counter they told me a different price. i was astonished 0/10 experience. will never go back and i recommend others not to go.

I came in to trade some consoles and purchase a Switch 2. The manager Blair was absolutely amazing. He was extremely helpful, accommodating, and very personable. I would come back to this location just for him. Thank you Blair!

The staff here is awesome. Every young person that has helped us has been kind, knowledgeable and patient. They speak to my 11 year old with respect and go above and beyond to be helpful and attentive. Thanks for the excellent customer service everyone!
