Went in to try and sell my ps4. I went in blind and not knowing what I needed to do before I walked in, which I will admit is on me. What I wasn’t expecting was the manager being a total jerk and belittling me for not resetting it, which I had no idea. He turned me away and told me to do research before I came. That should have been my first hint not to come back. I went home did exactly what he said to do and I come back an hour later. Before I did, I tried calling the store twice. No answer. I walked in and this new guy sees me with the console and tells me that that they can’t do consoles right then. Told me I should have called to save the trouble when I showed annoyance, which made me snap and say sternly “I did. Twice. AND NO ONE ANSWERED” which he tried to defend himself with some stupid excuse. This place is a joke. Go somewhere else

I had the mispleasure today of checking out with Brody and I must say he was the pushiest sales associate I have ever interacted with. I was asked over and over to renew my pro membership, being accused of hating saving money and my gaming habits questioned. I politely declined north of 7 times until a very firm no finally ended the onslaught. Then came the warranty... I was informed that the warranty is an absolute must, I must have it! I declined again and was told that if I said no and opened the box to find a broken system that would be on me. Based on the Defective Item Return Policy that lay on the counter between us, I knew this to be a flat out a lie, bordering on a threat. Extremely frustrated at this point, I raised my voice to make very clear I didn't want any addons. I considered walking out at this point and in retrospect I should have. After relenting and allowing me pay just the amount of the system, he grabbed the box and practically tossed it into me with a very curt "here you go". I'd believe that there was likely a divine decree from corporate that the store simply must get more membership signups and warranty addons but threating and berating customers is an absolute unacceptable way to achieve this. GameStop in recent years has looked like an organization rotten from top to bottom and nothing has made that more clear to me than my experience there today.

Hello, this experience happened a few months ago, but I have been curious about it ever since. I am a 35 year old father, and at the time I was looking for a copy of UFC 2 for my son. I asked the employee at the front desk if the store had the game in stock. They checked what appeared to be a single cabinet and then told me there were no copies available. I thought that seemed a little unusual because the search was over very quickly. Later, I checked the website and noticed that UFC 2 was still listed and appeared to be available to order online. That made me wonder if there may have been additional inventory that was not checked, or if the employee simply assumed the game was unavailable after looking in one location. I am not trying to make accusations. I am genuinely curious about how inventory checks are handled. Do employees typically check only one storage area, or should they search additional locations before telling a customer that an item is unavailable?

The customer service was so bad it made my jaw drop. The person at the register asked the people in line in front of us if they wanted a warrantee on their controllers and they had to politely refuse several times, and the worker kept insisting they'd spill stuff on their controllers or they would break. They started to get pretty frustrated and it was kind of shocking to listen to how pushy they were towards these people. They did the same to me and asked if I wanted to sign up for a membership I had to say no several times and they talked over me and when I refused they asked me if I hated saving money. How do you expect me to respond to that? I just said yes I hate saving money because I don’t want an account. They kinda snapped at me and said "so you'd rather just pay extra for an overpriced cat plushie" like yes! Do you want me to purchase stuff from your store or not 😭 and I’ve had the GameStop pro account before and it was not worth it for me. They were so rude l've never had an interaction that bad before in any shopping experience. The store was a mess and it was borderline harassing behavior. Cancelled my purchase and left.

I am done with this store and potentially GameStop as a company! Very pushy on the warranty, even going as far as lying about the exchange policy, only for me to correct him. The store was a mess, and when I asked for a bag, he said that they didn't have any. It's fine if you guys really don't have any, but he gave off an impression that he didn't care. His demeanor was so unwelcoming. Make customers feel valued if you want them to shop here. Don't just wave them over to your counter without speaking a word. You guys want to hit numbers? Then perform like you actually care! I usually buy into warranties at stores simply because of their welcoming and exceptional customer service, even if I don't believe I need it. I will be boycotting this location for sure! Maybe even the entire company. Guess it doesn't matter because if you walk into this store, it almost looks like they're shutting down, or maybe they just don't care.
