Retail is not dying customer service is dying. At a time when the retro gaming market is heating up and business for a game store goes way up. Employees at this GameStop are horrendous. No greeting no thank you for visiting. No assistance through out… As I am shopping I hear a gentlemen shopper ask if he can bring in some untested merchandise for trade. Younger cashier says sure no problem as long as you have proper cords and controllers. No problem with this exchange. Problem for me arises is when customer goes out side to get the trade in older heavyset bearded cashier informs younger cashier he should not have agreed to test the product because they hit there trade quota. As I see the gentlemen bringing in the product I notice everything he has is essential for shelving that they have that is entirely empty… This place needs to do better if not for them selves but for the community it upholds.

I would like to share a very unpleasant experience I had at a Game Shop store. From the moment I walked into the store, I was treated poorly by a salesperson — an older, heavyset man with a long beard. The first thing he told me was that the game I was looking for was out of stock. I then politely asked if he could recommend a similar game or suggest an alternative. Instead of trying to help me, he told me there were no other games available and, in a very rude manner, told me to leave the store. Regardless of whether a product is out of stock, I believe every customer deserves to be treated with respect and receive proper customer service. I found it especially disappointing that when I simply asked for a recommendation, I was treated disrespectfully and told to leave. I hope the store takes this situation seriously and reviews how customers are being treated by its employees, because an experience like this can make a customer not want to return.

All of these 1 star reviews have a problem about the wrong stuff, the real problem here is the staff. Every single time I walk into this building I’ve never once been greeted, asked if I need help, or anything related to the slightest bit of customer service. I was just here and there’s FOUR people behind the counter goofing off and talking and not one of them says anything to me; the only customers in the building. The times I do have the courage to ask one of the miserable employees a question regarding if they have something in stock, they act offended and pissed off like I interrupted their daily job of doing nothing. I work retail, I totally understand it’s miserable sometimes, but you guys work in a building the size of my closet WITH air conditioning and rarely busy. This has to be one of the borderline easiest jobs in the world just sitting behind a desk surrounded by toys and yet the very few customers that DO show up there’s never any initiative to talk to them or even so much as a “Hi Welcome in!” Whoever the hell is in charge of this location has to be fired or get their staff together because it’s just embarrassing.

Guy said "pokemon system was down" when I came in to send in my cards for grading to PSA, which were already in card savers and ready to go. I asked how and he said the tablet died 10 min ago to do it on, lol. So you guys can't charge tablets now? I've done the grading here before and he did it on the computer too so it's just flat out laziness. This location is a joke the one guy that's always there is rude and locks up the store for no reason when it says open.

Late review, but I was soooo happy to successfully pre-ordered and received my Suikoden I & II HD Remaster game last March! The staff was very helpful assisting us with it, and it was a smooth transaction the time we picked up the game. It was worth the wait for one of my favorite childhood games! This store has a lot of video games, to which some are in decent prices, collectible items, and more. I wish the Game Stop at Mt. Nebo is still open, though. PLEASE DON'T EVER CLOSE!
