Game On - Prescott

As much as I wish I could support Game on their pricing on items is completely outrageous. A sticker for DCC is gonna set you back 4-5 dollars and the sticker is no bigger than the palm of your hand. Items sold here are upcharged more than should be allowed. A set of die can run you down 15-20 dollars but the same set on amazon is 10 bucks and has 3-4 other die sets included. Photos below are of MTG decks. Price difference here is not ok at all

I've been coming to Game On in Prescott for years now. We originally found this little gem right around the time Disney Lorcana first came out. My kids and I attended a couple of the early Lorcana tournaments here, and ever since then, it's become one of those places we occasionally stop into to see what packs they have or hunt through the retro video games for something fun for our Wii or Switch. Yes, their packs can sometimes be a tad over MSRP, but here's the thing — they actually have them. 😂 That's worth something these days! At the big-box stores, it feels like you practically have to know what day and time the stocking lady is coming and then stand in line if you want Pokémon, MTG, Lorcana, Star Wars, or whatever everyone is chasing that week. I'd much rather support a local shop where I can actually walk in and find something on the shelf. But what has kept us coming back isn't really the cards or games — it's the people. Every single time I walk through the door, there is a genuine friendliness that makes this place feel like a home base for our hobbies. I've asked plenty of questions over the years, and I've always been treated kindly and never made to feel stupid for not knowing something. Whether we're there for cards, a tournament, or digging through old video games, we always feel welcome. There's also something really cool about having a local place where the "nerdier" among us can find our people. 😂 A place where kids and adults can get excited about the same card games, video games, collectibles, and hobbies and actually connect with other people who enjoy them too. Thanks, Game On, for giving Prescott a place like this and for making my kids and me feel welcome every time we come in. We'll definitely keep coming back!

No stars if I could. They have the Pokemon shiny treasures listed on their website for $159.99 they sold in stores for $299.99. I went in store and purchased it for $299.99 and saw it listed for the price of $159.99 on their website same day maybe 30 minutes after purchasing the box. I called the store and the associate said he would talk to the manager, the manager stated that the listing wasn't updated on their website but if 1 purchased it on their website same day I would be able to purchase it for $159.99. Please stay away from this place as they are scammers. Edit: they have contacted me and stated they would refund me the difference. The in store service was superb. They made things right with the customer service, thank you again for making things right

Living in a smaller town it's great to have a specialized game store like Game On. Everyone is always friendly and very helpful. I like to support local businesses whenever possible and get my board and card games here rather than ordering on Amazon or big box retailers. They also have an awesome board game rental program where you can rent and try out new games and then apply the rental price to the purchase if you like the game!

All kinds of super cool stuff. I was visiting from Las Vegas and I will be back next time Im up. All the employees were very welcoming and helpful!
