Game On Cottonwood

Had a great experience shopping here! Staff was very helpful and kind!

I love coming to this place, used to go in atleast 3 to 4 times a week. The past few months I’ve gone in maybe once a month. There’s a few workers here who truly have a passion for what they do and enjoy talking about video games, warhammer, painting, etc. There are also a few workers that seem to not care to greet me, converse with me in any way, or make me feel welcome. When I try talking to them about my hobby, upcoming products, preorders, etc they seem annoyed and put off. I’ve sadly opted to buy some of my product online, because there’s no point in traveling to a location where customer service is subpar Monday to Wednesday. I’ll still continue to come to Game On, I’m just more careful these days about which workers I interact with. I’d give examples and names with experiences but I’d rather be fair and this be an opportunity for change. I know the owner will see this and maybe things will change with customer service here. He’s a great guy, super informative, helpful, and passionate about his stores and his community. Thank you Game On for being in our community and giving me the chance to give your Cottonwood Store an honest review after the past 7 months of service.

I love this place. I really do, but only one thing stands out to me that really bums me out. I have recently gotten into Riftbound TCG and I am obsessed, but getting them at game/card shops should be easier than other retailers, yes? No. Unfortunately the only thing Riftbound i was able to purchase was just the proving grounds box set and that is it. Amazing starter decks to get a grasp on the game, terrible for long term play, and that is it. I call to see if they restock and they haven't restocked in months. I want to join nexus nights to integrate in my community better, but how can i do that when they hardly restock packs i want to use to build decks or gate keep them for nexus nights which even then the players are only allowed a pack and from what I heard from other players they cannot purchase anymore. Like huh? So I guess we just have to go the alternative WAY more expensive route by ordering online with Walmart or other big name retailers? I was ready to drop some serious cash today on packs for me and my fiance, but alas I will not be doing this anymore from this location because the worker said yall arent going to restock until vendetta release? A bit ridiculous because that drop time is the end of July. But if you want warhammer figs to paint, might decks and packs galore, this is your place. Pokemon and Riftbound. Proceed with caution.

Sold me a broken console and of course, and only has this problem past one week the due date for warranty I do not recommend buying from here

Went in for books and walked with an unbeknownst gem! A Cowboy Bebop Board game with deck building strategies and a 1 player minimum!! Stoked, absolutely my Jammie-jam. Come here if you’re in the verde valley, you won’t be lacking in any fashion!
