Game Freaks Olympia

I went here with my mother and my two nephews. The store was clean and well organized. But the guy working followed us around. He never asked us if we needed anything, he just hovered three feet away from us, pretended to look at shelves, never doing anything other than not so slyly watching us from the corner of his eye. Gotta watch out for those shoplifting grannies.... If you want a slovenly introvert to not so stealthily stalk you and your family while you peruse a store, I guess this is your joint.

Been here a few times, though the 1st time I came here it was a wonderful experience, the people that worked here were super nice and kind. As time went on though, the workers now tend to only talk to people/customers they like. I've walked in mutiple times and been ignored, though once in a while they do say hi. But whenever I would ask a question they would get annoyed as they would get off their phones after talking their friends (their conversations were not work related as they were talking bout social outings ), we won't be coming back as it just doesn't feel welcoming anymore like it use to. I hope other people have a better experience then I did and I hope the best for their company.

This is the best game shop around we absolutely love stopping in! The staff is always extremely helpful in finding what we need and if they don’t have it in store they usually have it in another location and can get it. We have gotten many games, MTG cards, and board games over the years. Great place to stop!

Shoutout to Game Freaks for being the adult version of “just one quick stop” that somehow turns into three hours and a lighter wallet. 😂 If you’re into Magic: The Gathering this place is dangerous in the best way possible. Huge selection of cards, awesome atmosphere, and the staff actually know their stuff instead of making you feel dumb for asking questions. Whether you’re hunting for singles, building a deck, or just trying to convince yourself you “don’t need another pack,” this is the spot. Great people, great vibes, and somehow they always have exactly the card you were looking for. 10/10 would gladly get mana screwed here again.

Great place to get trading cards, board games and much more! My son is obsessed with the stuffies they carry. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. We have enjoyed the recent free raffle entry for Pokémon products.
