UPDATED 2026 THIS PLACE IS EVEN BETTER! Expanded. Staff so great. Prices amazing. Inventory is outstanding. Mike really knows the merchandise. He is very kind and helpful. There's a lot packed into this tiny store. Prices are fair. Selection is huge. They also have a great location at the Flea Market on MLK. Support local businesses.

Game Craze has been absolutely incredible. Always a warm welcome and the prices are ridiculously good. I just came back from my third visit this month and am absolutely amazed at how well they handled my entire group’s questions. Didn’t matter if it was my daughter or my elderly mother they were super knowledgeable and kind. My daughter loves the place so much she wants to go there on her birthday!

Used to be THE spot for games, merch, and such but as of late the owner's wife has been very quick to anger and very passive aggressive if you have anything to do with pokemon. They have certain rules about trade ins that are just made up and enforced based upon her mood with no physical signage anywhere in or around the store. Jeff and his wife seem like great people it's just heartbreaking to see the change in mood in the entire store as them, and their employees all seem more stressed and grumpy than before. There have been multiple occasions where she has raised her voice or tried to take personal digs at my partner and myself. Ive been going to this store since I bought a pre owned copy of pokemon black for the DS on my 16th birthday with my mom, and we were basically told us to beat it and never come back over 30 dollars. We had 4 first partner collections and wanted to trade in, however Jeff's wife politely told us they already had so many so they were only willing to offer 25 credit per. So we said nah but thanks for the offer, afterwards a customer asked us about them to which we explained they were ours and not from the store. He offered us $30 cash and my partner said sure man, they shook hands and we continued waiting for the rest of our trade in. She then came over 5 minutes after the exchange and borderline screamed that we are not allowed to sell in their store, the other customer tried to be nice and say it wasn't our fault and we apologized but she was not satisfied and said "no that still falls on them." We were then told because this was my partner's second warning (the first was a year and a half ago when he and another customer were simply talking about a deal when Jeff told them to stop, which he did and did not sell anything that day) that after 40 minutes of waiting (average wait time for 80% cash or 90% store credit) they would not be taking our trades from here on out and both continued to raise their voices, with children present in the store, and start trying to berate us saying we were taking business from them and were about to seemingly start on a tirade when my partner picked up our trade ins and said "I'm going to leave before this escalates" and we left the building. We should have had the foresight to either step outside or take the persons number and continue elsewhere and for that I apologize again, however I feel this reaction was completely out of proportion and am very disappointed. We can get more money somewhere else but we went here because of the experience. Other stores here are run by people that treat you like crap and send you on your way. I thought this was the exception.

We've made a point to come here the last handful of years when we travel from a few states away. We love hitting up used-game shops and visiting with folks. It's been overall pleasant. The older fellow who was helping us the last few years has been quite helpful and nice. We had spent some time chatting about some of the merch they had in and he was telling us about the CRT they had a SNES running on. I appreciated that he took time to take care of us and that we could visit some. I saw that since last year they had begun expanding out into the space they shared a wall with, and it's certainly flashy with the new lighting and layout. I had made a stack of magazines near the register for ones I was wanting to buy. The lady who welcomed us was quite friendly when we were chatting and said I could so I wouldn't have to hold a bunch of them. That was nice of her. The pricing wasn't on the magazines/booklets, and was surprised at how steep some of them were for how dinged up they are. I had passed on some because they were straight missing pages/stuck together to the point of damaging the book. You could definitely find competitive offers on the web. The actual problem I ran into was they had to price-check each magazine as they were ringing them up, off of handwritten sticky notes. So the fellow helping me had gone off to get the prices for them and another fellow came up a minute after and asked if I wanted anything like it was a bother. After I said, "Oh no another guy is getting a price for something I think" we just both stood there staring at each other. Hahaha. And he says "can you move over?", with a matching hand gesture, so the guy behind me can get his video-game theme doormat rang up. I would have expected a Seinfeld level laugh track if I wasn't in the process of spending a bunch of money. Haha. It'd be nice if they got this stuff price checked beforehand to avoid these type of situations that make people feel like a bother for spending money in their establishment. I get they want to price their merch on the spot, to match the online market, though. The lack of communication between workers is rough... I've gotten Sonic Adventure 2, and DOA X2 from them the last couple summers we visited. They both didn't work when I tried playing them after I got home. This was a month and some change after I got them, so I was out of luck with that 30-day policy. Doesn't make it any less frustrating though, especially for the price of those two. Sure I should have checked them, but they should probably sell games that function right? Bought a Gameboy Color from them 2 years back, one that someone had tricked out with a back-light and whatnot. If you're looking, I recommend testing the stuff out before you buy it. The action on the buttons and the audio going in and out on it just came off like they aren't afraid to get you on pricing for something they didn't fully test out. Again, you find this out after warranty and you're stuck with the bill. Small note: The Gameboy SP we just bought from them this Summer had a dead pixel in the center of the screen that would have made me pass on it had I not assumed it had no dead pixels. I will say, the price on the Gameboy Pocket I got from them was more than competitive and it was in some fantastic shape. Kudos. Like I said earlier, I'm glad to see they're doing well enough to be expanding their shop to the space next door, but man what a bad taste to be treated like a inconvenience. At the end of the day, I come to a place like this to support a local business and have some nice interaction. It's a tall order to keep showing up and dropping the money to people who can't even front being interested in people bringing them business. I get this will be swept under the rug as a tedious review, and people have a business to run, but it rubbed me the wrong way as someone who yearns for old game shops that aren't GameStop. TL;DR: Prices weren't killer, service was a swing and a miss. Maybe that will change, maybe it was a one-time fluke. Who knows.

This place is AWESOME! Staff, super friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to answer all my questions. If you’re in SWFL and want to get any games from current to vintage systems, this is definitely your place to come to. During my visit the staff informed me that they are expanding the location, next door. To be bigger and more stuff. Darren and Giovanni were so pleasant and easy to talk too. Your go to place for all your gaming needs! Oh, they also have a great selection of memorabilia stuff.
