Game Chest Irvine

Me and my family come here often. We come here to buy Pokemon cards and Lorcana. We play and collect as a family. We play as a family. A family member told us to try if they have it at game chest for Lorcana trove or anything from the new attack of the vine Lorcana set. I called first and then a lady on the phone said they have troves in stock. So we came in. Waited patiently in store to ask if they had any troves, saying we called ahead. The workers, lady and a man behind the registers “checked” to see if they had any stock, they looked at each other and asked if we played there in store. Not wanting to lie, we said no, and they immediately said no that they didn’t have any stock. It was obvious they were lying. How can any person with a conscience lie like that to people and lie to family? We even told them this is how we encourage our son to read. But nothing. We aren’t scalpers, we want to play the game. As a family. Being treated like that really leaves a bad impression and gatekeeping product for “their” players isn’t cool. And if they want to do that they should set it aside and not include it in their stock. Or just say they don’t have any. I can be okay with that. But to drive all the way there and ask and be treated like that makes me want to not support your business or play in your shop.

Great new location that is easy to access and has wondeful space. A great shop to play with miniature and tcg weekly play, as well as Gundam and boardgames. Full hobby store for everything you would want to play!

This is by far my favorite game store ever!! Burhan is extremely knowledgable and knows all the ins and outs of every game, puzzle, and TCG!! I always talk to him every time I go in, we always share a laugh or 2. Manager Karen is amazing as well, super personable and so positive! The owner is also one of the most amazing people I’ve gotten to know there, if you ever get the chance to meet her, DO IT!!

To be honest, I absolutely love Game Chest. There’s always something interesting to discover here - for both kids and adults. The store has moved for the third time now, and I’m really happy it’s in a more convenient location. Game Chest isn’t just a place to buy board games. They also have a great selection of card games and miniatures you can paint. You can even sit down and play board games in the store - it used to be $5 per table. They also carry all sorts of fun stuff for kids, from musical instruments like harmonicas to kinetic sand and more.

Right in the heart of the Irvine Spectrum Mall is the Game Chest. A small store full of board games and collectibles. There is even a gaming room where people can gather to play board games and enjoy themselves. When we were there we saw several groups playing at the tables have a great time. If you look at the pictures, you will see a great variety of board games including the major games like Monopoly and Risk collections. And they have much more to offer.
