Game Box Video Games and Comics

I brought in my phone that had been run over by a car, the screen was cooked. I was convinced I'd have to drop a thousand dollars to get a new one. I dropped it off and when I came back it was perfectly fixed. I will definitely be coming back here again if I ever need my devices fixed.

Fantastic for game console repair! I brought in a 2DS with a broken bottom screen and they were able to restore it to perfect shape for a very reasonable price, in less time than expected! They had a nice selection of retro games and accessories for older consoles, too.

I’ve been coming here for years for repairs on my iPhone screen or minor problems. Today I needed a factory reset. The staff there are consistently remarkably helpful and friendly. Prices are reasonable. I highly recommend them.

AUTISM FRIENDLY 5 STARS!!!!! Hi, SGYoda here, with level 2 High IQ Autism, leaving a review for others out there, autistics alike, that enjoy gaming/collectables/all things nerdy/geeky but tend to shy away from the heavy foot traffic areas w/ busy noises. This hidden gem sits perfectly nestled in-between a nail salon on it's right w/ JoAnn Facbrics on it's left. It truly is the perfect one-stop-shop for all gaming/collector/repair needs. It has the best env. for the calmer shut-in that would enjoy somewhere quieter to read their graphic novels, purchase their fav products, get an electronic repaired or even play Magic/DND/Pokemon/more with friends/family (must purchase &/OR bring your own supplies) **Ask employees about gaming events for kids/adults**. They have a nice area w/ a long table, at least 10 chairs to sit & play games. They sell a variety of collectables including Magic/One Piece/Pokemon Cards. Pokemon has a 1-item-limit per purchase/person a day. Depending on stock & item to avoid scalpers!! 👍🏼💪🏼Huge deal for me because there's a scalper in our state ruining Pokemon for so many like me. Buying ALL the pokemon cards in literally every store around. For an Autistic like myself it's devastating to have scalpers take every pack sold in stores near&far from me. To have no where to go to get something I've been collecting & gaming with since 1995 is awful! I enjoy Pokemon for the collection/art/game itself. Scalpers only care about money. Stores like this are keeping Pokemon alive for us collectors & Gamers with their '1-item-limit' for Pokemon. It's 50% why I love this store & keep coming back. They sell for the kids/collectors. Not the money but the enjoyment & quality.🤩 The other 50% of why I wrote this review is because the employee Graydon is an amazing employee & people need to know how very welcoming, kind, understanding & informative he is. As an autistic who is non-communicative, (difficult finding words and expressing what I'm thinking/feeling. Hard time getting to the point basically.) he is amazing at taking his time to make me feel heard, welcomed, safe & entertained. Great at descalating anxiety for the 'autism' side of things when we tend to 'over apologize' or we get overwhelmed. He's very engaging with all of his customers as well as knowledgeable with everything he sells & all his services (Electronic Repair Service). I've been to many other gaming & collector/hobby stores throughout Maine, not once was I enticed to stay & play a game of Pokemon. This place felt homely & comfy. Graydon also never minds when I finally find my words & talk his ear off. 🤣👌🏼 I truly HOGHLY RECOMMEND this store over ALL other environments similar to GameBox Genre. Both big & small shops alike. Best place to bring a group of kids who need a safe place to play games (board, card..). Perfect for us autistics & ideal for any/all collectors. 5 stars for as long as Graydon works at GameBox providing amazing products & his attentive support. GameBox is part of a larger plaza that includes... Smitty's Cinema GameLAB Fairground Cafe/Restaurant Days Jewelers Hallmark Store The Music Center Hannaford StarBucks Jersey Mike's Wendy's There's also MANY other dine-in or take-out food options in the area... Buffalo Wild Wings McDonalds Arby's Fairgrounds Cafe Dunkin Donuts FireHouse Subs Kume PaneraBread Jersey Mike's Sub Romeo's Pizza 99s Restaurant Less than a mile down the road a little further you have... Target Dick's Sporting Goods Petco Five Below Dollar Tree Drive another 1/4 mile down the road & there's Market Basket. GameBox is a great place for parents that need a nice day out with the kids away from home & still in a safe environment. (Small Nook). (DISCLAIMER)...This is a store, not a daycare. I'm not promoting leaving your children here unsupervised to go have your nails done next door or to go buy a new golf club. 🤨 Live smart show respect, use what common sense you have & have a great time. Have a blessed day 🙇🏼‍♀️🫂

I got my laptop repaired here, it was super quick and affordable. Super appreciate the guys here! I spilled coffee on my MacBook air, it got inside the computer, I tried to turn it back on, Dont do this!! And they were still able to fix it for me, good as new. They take an $80 deposit for repairs, and I paid $70 for the work they did. They got it back to me in 2 days and were even open on a Sunday when this happened. Super super helpful and they had events going both days I was in the shop. Comic books also make a great gift. Love this shop, thanks guys!
