Galactic Quest

I’ve been a customer at GQ since I moved to the area in 2016. It’s one of the few comprehensive full-service comics and collectibles retailers in the area. What I like most is their willingness to always make things right. No shop is perfect, but the people at Galactic Quest truly care about customers and their experience in the shop and with the products they sell. This company goes above and beyond. I think of them as my collection curators, not just the people who sell me books.

I had a disappointing experience here. The owner i believe his name is kyle tried to sell me a card that had visible damage while pricing it close to full market value. I wasn't comfortable paying that price for the condition, so I declined and stepped away to call a friend for a second opinion. When I came back, the owner became rude and told me that because I had left and returned, he was no longer willing to negotiate. I was prepared to spend around $600 on the card if we could agree on a fair price, but instead I felt like I was treated unfairly and dismissed as a customer. EDIT: that same card above sold for $400 is a fake review and the owner tried to charge me $580 for that exact same card

I always have a great experience at Galactic Quest! Today, I picked up this awesome find, and once again, Jason was great to work with. He's always willing to negotiate and make a fair deal. Thanks for making my day, I can't wait to add this one to my collection!

Absolute rip-off—avoid Galactic Quest! Do not waste your time or hard-earned money at this store. I went in looking to buy a card, and the staff completely tried to scam me. They attempted to sell me a visibly damaged card while charging an absolutely absurd, astronomical price for it. When a business tries to pass off damaged goods at top-dollar pricing, it is a massive red flag. The level of dishonesty here is shocking. Save yourself the headache, protect your wallet, and take your business to a reputable local shop that actually values its customers. update response: i’m not even the guy that was trying to spend $600 but ok. all i’m saying is if you visit this store make sure to closely inspect the card and look the card up and even ask for a second opinion. most people would be ok with you doing this but not this store. simply trying to make sure you are getting a good deal and not getting scammed seems to be an issue with the owners of this establishment which again comes off as a huge red flag. be warned that taking actions like these might cause the workers to give attitude and suddenly cause them to not be willing to work up a deal that is fair and legit. you will get scammed for simply trying to protect your own assets.

Had a great time stopping in here to pick up some sketch covers. Wad my first time stopping in and everything was laid out, and easy to find. Also the gentleman behind the counter was extremely helpful. Will absolutely be back for more comics and sketch covers.
