Dragon's Lair Comics & Fantasy Austin

I've been to another store with the same name, it was similar but far smaller. Walking into this place I wasn't sure what to expect but I was thoroughly impressed. The store was clean and seemed very friendly. They had a variety of merchandise (could've used more dice but nobody is perfect). It is the kind of joint anyone can find something worth while in. They had a huge inventory of Games, Comics, Novels, and souvenirs. What was most impressive to me was the capacity for local game groups. They had avenues for finding local players for your games to join and the accommodations for these games and players were really great. Tables with amenities and rooms with decor to facilitate fun fantasy gaming. Even more impressive was the fact that they somehow housed all of this without that lingering BO and other unpleasant fragrances that accompany a lot or Warhammer, Magic and D&D games I've been to... Big selling point for me. If you're a nerd in the area go here. Tis fun.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Big premises, you'allways find someone to play with. And also good choice of animes and board games.

The tortoise shell cats or enough for me to go but there's tons of stickers buy books bookmarks as well as figurines plushies etc since I'm a huge hello Kitty fan I love that they had all of the PIP stickers and they also have like Care bears so and a bunch of 80s kind of things so it was just awesome. But the two cats are cute and sleeping and so adorable they were so soft and it was nice to see cute kitties too

Dragon’s Lair is a must-visit for game lovers. They have a great mix of board games from classics to favorites like Settlers of Catan and Ticket to Ride—plus comics, dice, and fun collectibles. The space is welcoming, and there’s always something interesting to explore. Bonus: it’s right next to Terra Toys. Definitely worth checking out!

A staple of Austin. I've been going here since before they moved to the new location when I was a kid. Tournaments, table top nights, or just browsing, it's always been an incredible place with some of the best people you could talk to. An absolute nerd's dream and highly recommend everyone to and check it out at least once. Major plus, cats roam around here and there :)
