There is a rank odor in this place. Possibly mold or something similar, it is pervasive, overwhelming, and foul. While the store has an outrageous collection of board games, Magic and other card games, and an interesting collection of miniatures and modelling supplies, I cannot in good conscience suggest people visit the store until something is done about the air quality.

Went in to ask a question and met by an older fellow with no shoes on and just in his socks. I asked if they sell Pokémon cards and instead of simply telling they don’t have them or at least not at the moment, he responded with a quick snippy “Nope, zip, nothing, notta.” Followed by silence. I left feeling odd and felt could have been handled differently

Went in there once to pick up a board game I had called about. I got it, and the place seemed to have a good selection of the "hidden gem" variety, which I appreciate. I have considered coming back to participate in Magic: the Gathering events (considering it is the only place near to me which has them) however I have some major gripes with my experience which are preventing me from doing so. For one, the place was very dank and smelly. I don't know if that has been changed since, but it had this moldy look to the interior. What didn't help was that there was only one guy in there, and his personality was a bit too animated for my liking (no offense). I heard a lot of people say that the staff are "rude", he wasn't to me, but he had this way of talking like he was reading off of a script and he would give long pauses after his dialogue which was off putting. I believe I made a comment about one of the games in a farther back room, and he said something along the lines of "I knew you'd ask about that" which was pretty creepy to say the least. Would not recommend for people who watch too many horror movies, but if you live in the area, there aren't many other options for game stores after the closure of Geek's Gambit. This is a more personal account of a very specific experience, so I bet it will be more pleasant for others, especially if you can vibe with the staff a bit better than me. I give it a solid 3/7, because although I had a feeling of Lynchian unease looming over my time there, they gave me the game and I bought it with no difficulties. I haven't been to any of the events so I can't make any comment on the subject or ascertain how many people go on the regular, but when I went it was on a week day at 5-6 ish and nobody else was there (for context).

Diversions Gaming Background info, I am an avid gamer, my wife and I love to visit and support game stores. So, while we travel, we will randomly look for a board game store near or location and try to visit that store and if possible, make a purchase. We fully recognize that running a board game shop is a labor of love and the Covid-19 did not help them. Diversions Gaming is found how we have discovered many FLGS (Friendly Local Game Stores) in an area you may not really expect. I would assume it is because the overall cost per sq foot is on the lower end. This should not really surprise anyone that has been around gaming. When you enter you will find nice curated wall of games. Several of them we noted were very new releases. We also met two individuals and we could only assume owners. They were friendly and knowledgeable. They were very helpful with any questions and solid customer friendly banter. They have several rooms with games and there is a good chance you will find a hidden game treasure. On this topic of Hidden Treasures, they have a large collection of used games or games provided for review that they are now are selling. Good chance you could find a game with a good price. We did not have the time, so I can’t provide you more information. I also did not get a chance to validate the spreadsheet I was told was online. I could not locate it on a quick look for it. We found a game we did not have from the New Release wall and were on our way. The elephant in the room that caused my wife to step out of the building. The smell, while I can’t put my finger on it, I am pretty confident it seems like a moldy kind of lingering odor. While I can’t say but a deep clean could be in order room by room. While doing this maybe some improved organization of the games and shelves they live on. If Diversions is your FLGS, I hope you continue to support them the owners they certainly seem to love gaming and are knowledgeable

Not a bad place, but unfortunately while the variety is good. Store managers are mildly unpleasant. The older gentleman often gives sass and snark when asking questions about something I might not know.
