If you have old Yu-Gi-Oh cards, magic or Pokémon, don’t come here they do not even wanna look at them. It shouldn’t take five minutes to look through a full binder of cards just for them to tell you oh we’re not interested because you don’t have these few cards I will never shop here again. This place is bullshit and they are way overpriced on their cards. Just trying to help people out to not break the bank.

Very disappointing experience. A few days before this visit, I purchased several singles and later discovered I had been overcharged compared to the sticker prices on the cards, even after accounting for tax. It was only about a dollar, but it immediately made me question the accuracy of transactions at the store. The bigger issue was when I brought in a sizable collection of near-mint Pokémon cards to trade toward a card worth around $400. Before bringing them in, I specifically asked what percentage the store pays on trades and was only told, "it depends." No explanation, no range, nothing useful. I spent the time organizing and bringing in dozens of cards, including many valued around $10 and several higher-value cards. The employee spent only a few minutes looking through them and then simply said he would offer $310. There was no breakdown, no explanation of how the number was reached, and no discussion of the cards being evaluated. When you're trading in a collection worth hundreds of dollars, I don't think it's unreasonable to expect some level of transparency. I understand that card shops buy below market value and that they use TCGplayer pricing. My issue is that the trade process felt rushed, unclear, and completely lacking in transparency. Had I known beforehand what kind of buy percentage was being applied, I likely would not have wasted my time bringing the collection in. What made the experience worse was the attitude. The employee came across as annoyed and uninterested, as if my questions and trade inquiry were an inconvenience. Rather than feeling like a valued customer, I felt like I was being rushed through the process. Between the inaccurate transaction on a previous visit, the lack of transparency regarding trade values, and the poor customer service, I do not recommend this store.

Coulee Cards & Gaming has a great variety of cards, especially when it comes to Pokémon and sports cards. The sports card side of the store really stands out — the staff there are friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. You can tell they genuinely understand what they’re talking about and are happy to help customers. Unfortunately, my experience on the Pokémon side has been the complete opposite. The staff member I interacted with seemed uninterested and gave off the impression that helping me was a waste of time. His attitude made it feel like he didn’t care whether or not a sale was made, which was disappointing — especially in a customer-focused hobby like card collecting. This was actually my second visit with the same type of interaction, so it wasn’t just a one-time issue. Working in a card shop, customer engagement is important, and that kind of attitude makes you wonder how other customers are treated as well. I truly hope this is something that can be improved moving forward. Additionally, the trade options and pricing here are not very competitive compared to other card stores in the area, which makes it harder to justify choosing this shop over others. Overall, there is strong potential here because of the selection and the sports card staff, but the Pokémon-side customer service and trade values definitely need improvement.

Stopped in today to trade some cards for store credit. I get that I had a bigger stack for them to comp and I am not expecting them to comp every single card. I had about 300 cards. I expected about half of them to end up dollar bin cards. $1 to $5-dollar range. The gentleman that I was working with comped the bigger cards as to be expected. What didn't sit well with me was the offer that I received. I was told that they could only pay 30% on the lower end cards and that the higher end cards they could pay me 50%. He didn't even want to tell me what the valued my cards at retail either. After looking at his notepad, I had about $900 in retail value and was offered $365 in store credit. So now I am comping every card just to see how far off they were. I will be using 130 point and eBay's new scan feature to get a market average. If you are looking to buy product they have a great selection of sealed wax. If you are looking to sell or trade anything I would suggest going elsewhere.
