Comic Central

Tyson Schneider started selling comics at local conventions in the Indianapolis market at a young age. Shorty after high school he opened his first brick and mortar store in Greenwood, Indiana. After a few years he sold that first store to Downtown Comics of Indianapolis, Indiana and joined their board of directors. Tyson continued to work with Downtown Comics for a few years, before leaving to pursue online sales of comics books in the late 1990s. He grew his online business, and relocated to Florida in the early 2000s. By 2008 Tyson saw a need to open a brick and mortar store again in an underserved market, in the fall of 2008 Comic Central was reopened as a full service comic book store in Sanford, Florida. Over the years it has become a fixture and destination in the central Florida community for comic books, collectibles, as well as geeky and pop culture figures. In more recent years the store has been expanding in to the collectible card game community. Our goal is to continue to becoming a stronger hybrid style store carrying a full range of comics, cards, collectibles, and related merchandise to serve the growing central Florida community for years to come.

Love this comic book store. They stock all the titles I love and they’re great with subscriptions. Jacob is a badass, super cool dude, knows tons about comics and what you might like. Everything he’s suggested to me has been amazing. I’ll be going here until either the world ends or I do.

This is the best comic bookstore period. We live in Volusia County and still drive to Sanford just to shop here. The staff is incredible and so are the prices. The team here are so friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful especially when you don't even know what you're looking for yet. They really are the best!!!!!

I’m not sure of the name of the man who is usually behind the counter- but he is the reason I come here instead of other shops. He is extremely knowledgeable and always has a great recommendation of what to read next based on what I’m interested in. Wide selection and chill vibe as well!

Great comic store... Ample parking outside of main area which provides an easier ability to find a location to park. Staff inside the store are friendly, engaging and knowledgeable.. Store is clean, smells great and is well laid out. Store primarily comic oriented but they do have some collectibles from the latest trends... Overall a great experience...
