Coastal RC

KEEP YOUR KIDS AWAY FROM THEM!!!!!!! I placed an order and waited three days without receiving any shipping update. When I emailed to simply ask when it would ship, the store canceled and refunded the entire order, without any explaination, even though the items were still listed as available on the website. What happened next was far more concerning. After I expressed my dissatisfaction and posted a review, Barry Schimmel sent me an extremely unprofessional email. He told me that “customers like you are not needed” and to “grow up and get a life,” while mocking me for leaving a negative review. I have screenshots of the email. Inventory mistakes can happen, but personally insulting a customer for asking about an unshipped order is completely unacceptable. A prompt refund does not excuse this kind of behavior. Buyers should be aware of how this business responds when a customer raises a legitimate concern.

We inherited two of my dad’s RC cars after he passed away, and we were missing batteries and really didn’t know if they still worked. We brought them into Coastal RC today and I am so blown away by how friendly and helpful the staff were. My 16 year old son is already talking about coming back to practice on the track. We bought two batteries and a charger and they took the time to make sure the cars worked and gave us helpful information. Thank you so much. I know my dad is smiling watching his grandson play with his old cars.

The staff is friendly and very nice, and the place is clean. My son enjoyed it so much, and I even had the chance to play too! We bought our tickets through Groupon…no reservation needed. Just show your Groupon voucher and you’re all set. This is such a fun activity for anyone who wants to spend quality time with their kids, whether you’re an RC fan or not. Highly recommend!

Wow where do I even start with this place. I grew up racing rcs but I raced monster trucks. Always wanted to get into more competitive off-road racing but after one attempt I left feeling like a bother and more of in the way than included. Got married had a kid and fell out of rc all together. Fast forward 6 years. I exposed my first born to rc cars. The cheap Walmart cars. Then told him about hobby grade cars. After some quick searching I found coastal! I immediately felt like I belonged here and so did my son! The facility: they have something for everyone! Onroad, off road, oval, drift track, and now slot car drag racing! Not to forget about the kitchen that has some bomb cheeseburgers! The staff: amazing people all around! These guys are always down to go out of there way to give you a helping hand. Weather it be finding your first rc or helping you setup your current one. Iv witnessed staff take parts off their own cars just to get a customer back up and running to get back in the race. The community: everyone that comes into coastal is a book full of knowledge and I havnt met a single person who isn’t willing to stop what they are doing just to talk, help or give advise to help make you a better racer! Several pros call this track home and are always willing to help you with setup tips and tricks. Everyone at coastal is always there to push you even harder to take your driving to the next level! In all coastal is an amazing track/ shop and once you walk in those doors you will quickly realize these guys are top notch and will quickly consider you coastal family!

I just want to say this place is awesome and the people that run it and race here are truly the best. We visited from Washington State and found this shop/track and they helped us out like we have been going to the shop for years. Not only did they give us advice and setup they even took care of us when our stuff broke and the parts were discontinued. They made sure we were able to race all week long and I couldn't ask for more. We want to thank the owner staff and racers at Coastal RC speedway it's easy to see why you guys are the best.
