I honestly do not understand how this place has a 4.9-star rating. I took my 9-year-old nephew to Bricks & Heroes last week, and it was one of the most disappointing experiences I've had at a local business in a long time. First of all, the place was filthy and poorly maintained. The board game room smelled so strongly of garbage that we eventually asked for the overflowing trash to be taken out. There were fruit flies everywhere. My nephew's main reason for wanting to visit was the LEGO table, only to find out it wasn't available. The owner told me it had been removed because some (likely unsupervised) kids had climbed into it and it became a liability concern. Whether that's understandable or not, it was still a major disappointment because it was something my nephew had specifically been excited about. We wanted to buy Beyblade parts, but everything was completely disorganized and difficult to sort through. My partner repeatedly asked for help figuring out which components worked with which launchers and could barely get assistance from the owner. We still ended up with incompatible parts and wasted money. It wasn't until I intervened and asked about a refund that we finally got meaningful help. The atmosphere was also uncomfortable. My nephew wandered into a room and found several adults in a heated argument about Pokémon cards that seemed to be escalating. He came back and asked, "Why are they so angry?" No staff member stepped in, and nobody seemed concerned that children were present, despite the business marketing itself as being family friendly. The owner's daughter appeared to have free run of the store, wandering barefoot throughout the business, inserting herself into customers' conversations and games, and coughing loudly without covering her mouth. Maybe regulars are used to it, but it contributed to the overall feeling that the place was poorly managed and lacked basic professionalism. The entire experience felt chaotic, dirty, and neglected. I wanted to support a local gaming shop, but after this visit I won't be back.

Won’t let me say the whole problem. So I’ll just stick to the Key points 1. Manager is lazy doesn’t wanna talk to you and will avoid you if you can my first impression of him when I asked what kind of places was all he did was look up from this phone and say a bunch of nerd stuff and go back to his phone Phone. Did this 5 more times. I had to dig every question out if I’m asking what games were popular he finally said Pokémon and Gundam and I think one piece as well. Did not take the time ever to explain anything about the store literally it’s cramped as heck and the ceiling is short so if you’re 6‘6“ tall just stay outside outside. It looks like an abandoned warehouse with a big garage connected to it so after four attempts, I couldn’t find it, but then I found it on the fifth and the building looks abandoned, deserted the parking lot never has more than six people. Worst of all if anything racist, political discourse related religion, or anything else that could be taken as offensive or rude. The owner will straight up. Ignore it and let an argument started if possible so this owner hates his job very much or just doesn’t understand what work and responsibility is, but either way gamers Grove is a complete opposite of this so there’s no excuse. If these two are competition, which this is bricks and here is competition to get gamers Grove, I employ you to go to gamers Grove. You’ll never wanna go back. The owner is so much nicer everyone’s friendly, most Saturdays, another weekdays there’s demo nights or whatever I’ve been trying to do it myself, but just moved into town, but they work with me. Bricks and heroes just kind of look at me weird if they don’t know what to say..

Awesome shop with some great finds! Prices are very reasonable and the owner is super nice and knowledgeable about the hobbies. I am so glad this town has such a wonderful shop that isn’t so far away. Even with as much as have in my collection, I still find new things here every time I visit.

Never knew a place like this existed! Not only do they sell many retail items such as; comic books, funko pops, pokemon merchandise, anime books, video games, plushies and 3d printed critters, there is a day game pass for only $5! The day pass let's you and /or your children play with the entire selection of board games, test your skills on the several retro arcade games and build anything you can imagine at the giant lego table. Hands down a great family activity.
