If Edgar Allan Poe was alive living in Orlando (and writing comics...) his coffee place would be Blackbird Comics. Try to spend a few hours relaxing, drinking their excellent coffee or any pastries from their menu...while you enjoy your meal, look at the decor, from "Prince" to quotes from the movie the "Outsiders". Excellent collection of Vinyl and Comics books...but...that's not all...visit the "Haunted Mansion" theme bathroom before you go. Not good place would be complete without having great employees, which is the case for Blackbird...come and have an enjoyable time...be different...

A+ food, vibes, staff, selection! I stop in whenever I am in the area. They always make my tea and snack perfect! I recommend the eggy croissant thing, the garlic on it is phenom! They have an amazing selection, esp for a small business. I love the cute little retail section with jewelry, incense, and tarot - it comes in clutch. Their book selection is what I am usually there for and I always find a winner or three. When you walk in you spot the book club picks - always my first stop. They also have a wall of really great novels from classics to new releases. Beyond the physical is the atmosphere. Whenever you go in, you can tell this is a popular spot. The staff is always very engaging and friendly! They seem to work very hard to create a community and pull the introvert out of you. Prime example is the staff member who helped me at the register today. (Wish I was better at getting people's names - blonde surfer looking dude?). Was so nice! We chatted about the book I was getting and he mentioned similarities to a recent comic book release which was very cool! Did I mention my tea was perfect y'all? ☕🥐📚

Amazing shop. The coffee is REALLY good, food was fresh and delicious. I had the ham and cheese and it was very yummy! They have comics, books, shirts, nostalgia, manga and Magic the gathering. They apparently have book clubs and different activities there that really add to the appeal. They are LQBTQIA+ friendly!!! I go on Sundays early because they are usually packed with magic players from 10-12, so seating is a bit limited. However I would highly suggest to go casually, any other time. The staff are so sweet and friendly. It's my favorite place to go, definitely a gem.

One of my favorite coffee shops in Orlando! This is one of my go-to shops to bring friends to and those coming from out of town, especially if they have similar nerdy interests :) Food: I adore their coffee selections and love that they have seasonal menus always keeping options fresh and creative! I haven’t had much of their food but their bagels are great and the staff is super generous with cream cheese. Service: Their staff is always wonderfully friendly and charismatic. Piper helped me on my latest visit and she is just so sweet and helpful! She made the latest sign for their seasonal menu and is incredibly talented. Very glad to have had her service! Atmosphere: If the food and service wasn’t already great, the atmosphere draws big crowds to this shop. It is super cute and eccentric, with. mix of those hanging out, studying, and playing tabletop games. Could wander here for hours, and I have lol. Definitely check out this shop, you won’t regret it.

Probably one of the best comic stores I've ever been to in my entire life. Very professional. Very incredible feel. I wish more comic stores are like this one.
