Badlands Gaming

This game store isn’t interested in all customers. Only the ones with male genitalia. The amount of times I have walked in and gotten ZERO acknowledgment but my husband who is 6+ feet away from the counter gets immediately asked if he needs help. Happens over and over. Tired of their shady practices. *Update* After they took this issue to their Facebook page where they continued to bash me through explaining my situation, they ended up blocking me, so their awful comments to me are gone, but their badmouthing of me remained. Good to know if you try and defend yourself from their harassment, they just block the negatives. I literally told them to look at their cameras to see the proof, and that’s when they blocked me. So now who is dealing with slander and lying? Oh wait, you can’t see their own words anymore because they blocked it so no one could see how they are acting. What a store.

This game store goes above and beyond to take care of its customers. They have very fair trade in prices. The display cases are constantly getting filled with new cards, slabs and sealed product. Gotta take care of the LGSs that dont scalp the players.

Had an awesome experience with Badlands Games at the local card show in Minot! They had a huge selection of cards at really great prices, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. If you’re into Pokémon cards, I definitely recommend checking them out!

We went into this shop as repeat customers who have spent hundreds here, just to get a price quote on some cards we wanted to trade. Everything was completely fine at first. They looked everything up, gave us an offer, we politely said we’d pass for now, and still bought two cards. We walked out happy. Then we realized they forgot to give us our top loader, so we went back in… and that’s when everything flipped. Instead of a simple “our bad, here you go,” the three men behind the counter immediately got confrontational and told me they wouldn’t trade with us anymore because we didn’t accept their offer and “it took time to price check.” That’s not some favor you did for us, that’s literally your job. Acting like customers owe you a sale just for doing basic pricing is ridiculous. Also, at no point were we told that asking for a price check somehow means we’re locked into a guaranteed trade. If that’s your policy, say that upfront. Otherwise, don’t spring it on customers after the fact and then punish them for making a normal decision. What should’ve been a 10 second fix turned into an uncomfortable, unnecessary scene. It felt unprofessional, defensive, and honestly embarrassing to watch. Do you treat every customer like this when they decline an offer? We’re not just angry, we're also genuinely disappointed. We expected better from a shop we’ve supported so much. Because of that, we won’t be spending money here again, and neither will the friends we’ve brought into this shop over time. There are plenty of other places that know how to treat their customers with basic respect. Update: The owner stated we agreed to a trade. That’s incorrect. We asked what the trade value would be, not to complete a trade. At no point did we agree to anything. Please review your camera footage for confirmation.

An interesting new gaming store, having just opened; I can tell its going to be a great location to hangout and play, especially since this will be the second LGS in the area. The gaming community will definitely have alot of fun in the location, especially when they start doing events. The events will start once they have the store set up, cant wait to start playing in another location. Especially when it was mentioned that there will not be any house rules, other than the ban list, so we can play at any level we want. Make sure to check out their Facebook page, alot for their store is linked there. The store owner is very nice and great to talk with.
