First time visiting and was impressed with the store. Anyone into trading cards, board games, or tabletop miniature games would definitely feel like a kid in a candy store. However, the gentleman I spoke with (who I believe was the owner) came across as a bit of a smart aleck, wasn't a great listener, and tried to come across as smarter than he actually was. They say you buy from people you like, know, and trust. With that in mind, I won't be returning or spending a dime there. My suggestion to the owner: consider some customer service training or place someone better suited at the front counter.

My wife and I normally love Asgard games, but today’s experience has led to this 3 star review. It has become our ritual to hire a babysitter on Thursday evenings to play at Commander Night, something we have been doing exclusively at Asgard ever since we moved to Houston 6ish months ago. Behind the counter we have encountered Serena, Brent, and one other guy who usually bartends (apologies man I forget your name at the moment but you’re a rockstar!) who have been awesome. They are always able to pair my wife up in the same pod so we can play together. Fast forward to this evening, a woman with green hair I’ve never seen before is sitting at the counter, and she refused to put my wife and I in the same pod, saying it was impossible in the software. I explained to her that it must be possible since Serena et al. have done it successfully every time, to which she replied “that’s cute but Serena isn’t here,” in a rude/mocking tone of voice. So I left. From now on, I’ll call ahead to make sure Serena or one of the other regulars is at the counter before shelling out for a babysitter.

Very nice staff in a great environment to play games with no cost during my visit. Rating not a five because of smaller selection of games to play and purchase. I don’t play mtg type games but this looks like a great spot. Guy working was super nice and if in area and you have any interest in board games it’s worth a quick stop. Some larger tables for Warcraft type games as well

I have been coming here pretty regularly for the past few months. I was trying to find a place central for all of my friends to meet and play mtg. Both the staff and community have been so welcoming and kind! Particularly Colton who works on Sunday when we come in. Highly recommend checking this place out!

Free-to-play board games and tabletop games, and they have a few board games and snacks for purchase. They have essentially 1 shelf of board games (but quality choices for a small selection), and also magic cards and tabletop figures. I’m mostly interested in the board games. Can’t beat essentially a free game environment, and I’m happy to support them by buying some game merch. We’ll be back!
