Great if you plan on ordering online to pickup, but if you go in you will be met with "You have to order it online and then we'll go get it together for you". ordering online requires a full name, email, and phone number which i feel is obscene when the worker only took about 45 seconds to get my cards together so he could get back to standing around, why not just allow me to look at binders? why not grab the cards and check me out at the register? The online ordering also has a minimum, which as someone who picks up low value cards just seems stupid; I don't want to spend more money than i have to. Honestly would be much better as an exclusively online store, just kind of a bad time overall. Edit: Spend time with your kids instead of acting like every negative review is directed at you, dork.

I’ve really tried to give this place multiple chances over the last few years living in San Marcos before really forming an opinion and unfortunately I’ve had very mixed experiences. Not sure if it depends on the mood of the employees some days or just who helps out, but the customer service is just typically very lacking. Almost as if it’s an inconvenience to ask any questions or to look at a card. I came in for the last time this afternoon. Didn’t get asked if I needed help in about 5 minutes with an empty store but that’s fine. Asked if I could have a card pulled so that I could look at it. Was told “okay, place the order online and then I’ll pull it” . I mentioned that I’d like to look at the card before I buy it. He said “Oh, well we don’t really do that” without even seeing what card I was inquiring about or any further questions. I was trying to purchase a $200 single and I’m not going to dedicate the money before seeing the condition (keep in mind online store showed 4 in stock as well)…. The employee began to walk to the other side of the store without further effort, so I left. I genuinely wish the interest in helping various customers was a bigger priority at this store. I’d much prefer to have a good experience buying my long-term chases from a local store rather than resorting to online.

So I’ve always seen this place but never really had the time to check it out until today (4/10/26) , it was my first time and I loved everything about it , all the cool collectibles and games that you can buy . So the reason I left 3 stars is because I was super excited to go back and buy some collectibles for myself and family but as me and my niece ( who by the way purchased her toy) were leaving the store a employee followed us out and asked us if we were going to pay for her toy , we were confused because we literally just bought it and started walking out as he was sitting at one of the tables in there and watched us buy it , so we said yea we already bought it and he questioned us and we were like yea here’s the receipt and then he was just like oh ok . Honestly that ruined my experience and made me think he was judging based on how we looked or something , I’m now second guessing on wanting to go back and spend my money on a business that judges people on the way they look . We weren’t being suspicious or anything we just took our time looking at everything so I guess maybe if you choose to visit this store know what you are looking for, PAY for it and get out .

Great inventory but weird impersonal service. I was interested in purchasing a clear modded DMG Gameboy that was priced at 200 dollars. When I went to look at it, it had no batteries. I asked if I could test it out and I was told "we don't keep batteries in our consoles," with a smug chuckle by a guy with a pony tail. I mentioned I didn't want to spend 200 dollars on a handheld if I didn't know if it worked or not, and was met with a shrug. Drove 40 minutes to spend a solid chunk of money on a Gameboy and some games and walked out empty handed instead. TLDR: 2 stars because they at least had a ton of cool stuff, just be wary if you want to test anything out.

Me and a friend from out of town stumble into this shop. The guys there were very welcoming and tge store was bigger than what I anticipated. They have different events on different nights. Nice hidden gem in Sam Marcos. Would recomend to stop by and check out the shop.
