Alchemist's Cove Games and Comics

Was in the area for my sons birthday came into the shop got a graninja box, wile looking at the cards I noticed there’s no pricing, I asked how do you know the prices, person responded we price check at time of sale. I personally don’t like this, hand me a binder with 1$-5$ cards boxes with 1$ cards. It just seems for me inconvenient. So I asked if I get a nice amount is the deal room, absolutely not. Unfortunately that response got me to leave, on the way back to our bnb we passed 619, went in definitely not as big as alchemist’s but much more friendlier easy to deal with, imo just the graninja box from the beginning was cheaper. So I browsed binders, the wife and son opened packs son got a Pikachu stuffy after all said and done I left with about 60-75 cards 6 packs and a stuffie for less 200. Unfortunately 45min to alchemist drive was a waste of time, there’s also not much inventory just a lot of table space. Highly recommend 619

Great Selection of Products and Atmosphere overshadowed by Mark Ups on Sealed Products. Overall the shop has a lot of TCG products and accessories for Warhammer and tabletop games. Comic book selection is also great however I spent more time on the TCG side of things. Most of the Magic products had slight mark up’s which is understandable, but the Pokémon product was 50% and above MSRP. With the business working through distribution it really is a disappointment to see another shop fall into the pit of greed. There are other ways of enforcing anti-scalping tactics without upcharging the average consumer. Other than sealed there is a wide selection of singles that seem to be modestly priced but id suggest you research the prices first before negotiating. All in all I would recommend visiting the shop if your in the area solely for the singles and tabletop offerings.

Great place for all your TTRPG needs. Wonderful staff the owner has always been incredibly friendly and helpful. The upstairs gaming loft is an amazing addition! Definitely recommend checking them out.

I really enjoy taking my kid and playing mtg here together. The staff is really kind and helpful. The store is super well kept. They have a large selection of mtg and pokemon singles. It’s very family friendly. It’s also the most female friendly comic shop I have ever walked into. I wish they had bulk commons to go thru but there are other places that meet that need in the area so I get why they don’t. The only minor inconvenience about the place is their lighting is super bright so if you get migraines it’s something to keep in mind before you go to play.

23DEC2025 Update: first Saturday of business in the new location… WOW! You’ve got to see the upstairs gaming area for yourself to believe it… or you could look at the new pictures I’ll post : ) ———————— ORIGINAL POST: Last day the Alchemist Cove will be open at its original/legacy location… beginning tomorrow friends, family and fans (myself included in this last category) will be pitching in to help move the store in 2-3 days… an ambitious proposal. But then, these are interesting times in which we live. The new location for Alchemist’s Cove ~ Games & Comics will be at 1284 Centre Pike, Orwigsburg, PA. I have uploaded photos of the new place, but have some last-new photos of their legacy store to offer too…
