Please do not be fooled by the 5 star reviews from years and years ago. As of recent, this place is a 1 star store. I’d give it 0.5 stars if I could. The store is barely ever open and it is completely disorganized. Oh yeah also most of the Pokémon cards set out on display are not on sale. The owner sells on WhatNot which makes sense as to why the prices are very very inflated. Also the owner is extremely uncomfortable to be around and will be breathing down your neck as you try to shop. The funny thing is though, both times that I’ve tried to shop in the store, I wasn’t even able to buy anything. I beg anyone that is thinking about going to this store to check out literally any other store in the area. If you are looking to get into any table game hobbies or card games, seek elsewhere. This store should not still be around.

First visit and unfortunately not a great experience. The store felt cluttered and disorganized, and it wasn’t always clear where customers were supposed to browse. The person who appeared to be running the store had a large workstation set up near the register that added to the confusion. On top of that, the interaction included repeated sexual jokes and comments that made me uncomfortable and felt out of place in a retail environment. I won’t be returning.

One of the first card shops I ever went to was when I started my collection journey into Pokémon TCG. The owner is really cool and down to earth once you get to know him better. Very honest and fair about pricing and his ratings of card conditions. The selection of Pokémon cards is limited, but you can find gems from time to time, and the atmosphere is always welcoming. The store usually has sought-after sealed products that are hard to find at times, but are priced fairly, especially the Pokémon cards. The card market moves around a lot, but I haven’t run into any problems with conditioning on cards or pricing. There’s also Dungeons and Dragons running at night from time to time. As well as Magic The Gathering cards. He’s usually busy with his online stores, but will gladly help you with any questions or if you're interested in a card. Very knowledgeable too, the owner has been in the game for a while and seen it all, ask him questions, and he’ll give you a straightforward answer, might not be the answer you’re looking for, but it is honest.

I thought "we close when we're tired" meant they usually stayed open later than their posted hours... nope, it means good luck catching the store open, because they close whenever the heck they feel like it. Drove an hour to find they closed at least 3 hours early. Also tried calling first, but who could be bothered to answer a phone. Sounds like a great business plan, post hours, and not follow them, so you lose business. Sounds great....

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. We went several times to go through their MTG bulk cards, have spent several hundred dollars at their store, and yet the last two times we’ve tried to go they haven’t let us shop. First time they had a game night planned, but nothing on their website or socials telling people it wouldn’t be open. We drove 45 minutes just to be turned away at 4:00pm in the afternoon on a Wednesday, because later they “might” have a room full of DND players (no one was there when we showed up). Today we called first, it’s noon on a Friday, we asked if we could go through their bulk, and were told that due to an event TONIGHT they weren’t going to let us. We’re talking 6 hours from when the event starts tonight. Even if I can understand events taking up the time and space, something should be on a website or social so that people don’t show up to their OPEN store and get turned away. We were walking in prepared to spend at least $100 or more, on two separate occasions, and the owner just doesn’t seem to care about his customers. RETURNING customers who spend good money. We will never be back, and we’ll take our money elsewhere. I HIGHLY recommend Grognard Games in Batavia, Roselle, or Algonquin. They have great bulk and owners who actually give a shit.
