This is my first ever review because I feel compelled to make one after my experience here. I stopped in after work to browse their Warhammer selection shortly after they opened. I spent some time looking at paints and models, ultimately decided not to buy anything, put everything back, and walked out to my car. A few moments later, I watched an employee come outside and take a picture of my car. I went back inside, grabbed the paints I thought about while I was there, and politely asked why at checkout. The employee explained that he does this preemptively because they’ve had issues with theft over the years. I understand that stores have to protect themselves, and he was polite throughout the conversation, but it left me feeling like I had been treated as a suspect rather than a fellow hobbyist simply because I browsed without making a purchase. To his credit, he apologized, explained his reasoning, and even gave me a model they couldn’t resell. I appreciated the gesture obviously and exchanged names and a handshake. Unfortunately, this wasn’t my first disappointing experience. The last time I visited, I noticed the Citadel paints were significantly marked up when I paid compared to buying them directly from Games Workshop or other hobby stores. If I remember correctly, the store was charging around $6 for Base/Layer paints and $12 for Shade/Contrast paints, while Games Workshop listed them at about $4.55 and $7.80, respectively. I understand that they need to make a profit, but as a customer I feel like this is something I need to include for other customers as well. I genuinely hope they can find a better balance between preventing theft and making honest customers feel welcome, because they genuinely have a great selection.

If I could give a 0 star I would. Workers are very rude especially the manager. Tried to buy raw singles - they wouldn’t even let me hold the card or take it out of the sleeve to see the condition.. wanted me to pay near mint prices for a card that could’ve been damaged. Tried to negotiate price on one card, pulled up most recent sold on eBay and the manager told his employee “don’t even bother just put the card back in the case” terrible experience

Coming to this store even in torrential downpour is a ray of sunshine to my day. I was looking for some cards for my Magic: the Gathering deck that I have been work on for months and Danny who was working at the time was very respectful and knowledgeable in the subject. Also people within the store helped me with free cards and knowledge as well. With board games, popular card games, funko pop, 40k Warhammer set and figurines, this place is a one stop shop for anything pop culture and enjoy a conversation or two about your favorite anime. I enjoy coming here, and will come back many days in the future.

Absolutely fantastic experience at Fire and Dice in Lynbrook! This store truly deserves a 5-star rating. From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly. Their knowledge of Magic: The Gathering is top-notch, and they were more than happy to answer my questions and offer helpful advice. What really sets Fire and Dice apart is the community. The other players there are just as friendly and helpful as the staff. I'm relatively new to MTG, and I was a bit nervous about playing in a store, but everyone was so patient and encouraging. I learned so much and had a blast. It's clear that this is a place where everyone is passionate about the games and wants to foster a positive and inclusive environment. Some of the players even helped me upgrade my decks! If you're looking for a great place to play MTG, other card games, or any other tabletop game, Fire and Dice in Lynbrook is the place to be. Highly recommend!

The place is simply incredible. I fell in love with the infinity of things this place has to explore. There is a lot to see, especially the spectacular bathroom decoration. The man who booked me was very cool, and from what I saw, it is a perfect place to go and play competitive card games and other games with other people.
