A Hidden Fortress

This is an amazing TCG shop. They have the best assortment of sealed product and available singles for MTG in Ventura County. They also offer the best trade value in the area as well. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The store is cool and clean, with ample room to play. I only play MTG, but they have all the current TCG’s like Pokémon, One Piece, Riftbound, and Lorcana. I drive from Port Hueneme just to come here. I highly recommend A Hidden Fortress.

A Hidden Fortress is a hidden gem in the surrounding community. The store has grown in the last few years with loads of space for numerous tournaments from a variety of TCGs including Pokemon, Yugioh, One Piece, etc. Mike is an upstanding community member who is extremely fair to customers and rewards loyalty with MSRP or VERY close to MSRP-priced products whenever possible. He understands the importance of long-term growth and a big picture mindset as opposed to short-term or greedy decisions for excess profits like many local game stores. FINALLY, a business owner who understands and values this! I should also mention that do buy cards for store credit or cash, albeit the condition of the cards typically needs to be near mint or better. The discord server is a very welcoming place for participants and community members, especially those who a regular attendees of events at the store. Employees who work for Mike are collectors and players themselves, which makes them easy to work with. They are friendly, professional and kind to customers (shout out to Chase and Benji). The last thing I will say is that Mike takes measures against scalpers and discouraging this type of behavior. This breeds more confidence in him as a business owner and customers take notice. All in all, A Hidden Fortress has really grown over the years into an ideal LGS for local community members. I would highly recommend the store to anyone interested in trading card games. Always my favorite show to to get just about anything mtg related or d&d related that I might need. Mike is awesome and is able to order the new d&d books as they come out. My friends and I have spent many many many years gathering at Hidden Fortress to play MTG and Commander, playing in drafts and always having a good time. Its like a home away from home where anyone can come in and sit down and enjoy a good friendly game of cards. Mike and the rest of the staff are extremely knowledgeable on MTG, Pokemon, One Piece, Yugioh and probably a smattering of others that i'm forgetting. I love nothing more than popping in to see what cards are in the case or to pick up a new set of dice.

Always a fun place to hand out and play one piece at. About a hour and a half away from my family but we still make the drive atleast once a week since there constantly getting new productsa d selling then at a great price. The staff is also very friendly and knowledgeable about upcoming events and card sets.

First time in today. I brought my son and his friend for Pokémon cards. We walked out with 2 2026 Pokémon Day boxes (great deal) and they each picked a pack of Phantasmal Flames. My son picked a pack based on the pack art and ended up with a Mega Charizard X EX! Thank you A Hidden Fortress for all your shared knowledge and for having a lucky pack.
