A-1 Comics Roseville

Really great comics and game shop, one of the best in the Sacramento area, with a great selection and friendly staff. They have a good array of board games, comics, graphic novels, and TTRPGs. Their board game selection covers a pretty wide area of interest and different game types, and while it's not the largest selection of board games around, they tend to keep a well curated selection of games in stock. They have a great selection of comic books and graphic novels, maybe not the largest selection around, but notable they keep their collection very well organized, so it's easy to actually find things that you're looking for, compared to some other shops where things are not as well sorted. They also have a large selection of used trade paperback graphics novels and manga, which is great to browse through and take a chance on something you haven't heard of before. Their TTRPG selection is also quite good. They have pretty much all the modern D&D 5e books as well a good selection of accessories, dice, and miniatures. They also have a broad selection of other TTRPGs from different publishers, which is really nice to see as well. The selection is not quite as broad as somewhere like Great Escape, but the selection is well curated and they fairly regularly get new things in. The staff are generally very friendly and helpful, and well informed when answering questions or organizing events. Parking can be a bit limited during busy times, but it isn't generally an issue. I also really appreciate that the shop offers a discount when ordering things that they don't have in stock. It's a really nice option when looking to pick up a new game or book and can order through them for a discount and not have to deal with shipping.

The staff was friendly and helpful. We are MTG players from a decade back and just getting back into it. The guy who worked with us took his time to provide recommendations and clarity to rules and mechanic charges when we asked. A wealth of knowledge a clearly someone who is happy doing what they do. Full marks, I highly recommend.

A great store, great staff, great selection of comics and a ton of games. Prices on back issues are excellent and realistic. Bonus stars for letting my son return a comic book when he realized he'd bought a comic he already had (right after paying, but still it was really cool). But your comics here.

I haven't gone to a comic book shop in a while. Was looking to get into riftbound. The store associate was very helpful. Got me started with a starter deck, some booster packs, and card sleeves.

I take my teenage grand daughter here to buy Marvel comic books. She has bought many cool comic books here, and I also had fun helping her search through the bargin boxes with the $1 comics, there's a lot! We have found many treasures she loves! She has quite a collection that she's proud of. The people who work here are very helpful with any questions. This is one of her favorite places!
