Hobby Lords Palmerston North

Really lovely staff! Much friendlier than usual games shops. Great Beyblade selection too! Top stuff team ✌️

Very dissatisfied with customer service Several occasions I have called regarding a product and been told a time to be at the store for its release. On arrival at the time I’ve been told it’s always sorry just sold the last pack come back tomorrow. I went today and arrived at opening to be told pokemon booster boxes were already sold out for the day, very confusing as they has only just opened, also one pack per group not per customer. Went to Valkyrie games and they happily sold us the booster box at the time today they told us to be there. One per customer not per family

Great customer service over email, and an equally great experience in-store. Byron was super helpful and welcoming to a total newbie like me when I bought my very first PTCG deck. He walked me through different ways to improve my deck using the available options—trading, buying singles, booster packs, you name it. He even invited me to join the community group and weekly events, which was a really nice touch. Unluckily for me, I let him choose my booster pack (let’s just say… the pulls were collection-building 😂). Still, overall an awesome first-time experience—great job! P/S: I came back the next day hoping to buy a specific single, but couldn’t find the card I was looking for. I checked another local store too and still didn’t get it, even though they had a wider selection. Totally understandable though—guess it’s just part of being newer compared to more established stores. Looking forward to seeing the singles collection grow!

Absolutely amazing place for both female and males. No sexism which is lovely and they don't tolerate it. Very open, friendly and have a variety of leagues on most of the time. Owner is brilliant and passionate about what he does as is all the employees. Amazing, friendly, feels like you're at your second home :D

Extremely fun and nice staff, I think his name was Paul (sorry if I'm wrong). Thanks so much for the service, he gave me digimon starter decks and grand archives. I also had a great pull from my digimon booster😂😂
