Lovely and friendly sales assistant—great customer service on that front. Unfortunately, the store’s lack of transparency around card pricing, along with limited knowledge of the Trading Card space (particularly Pokémon), is disappointing. Charging $5 for a card that typically sells for around $1 feels unreasonable. The explanation that all cards increase in value once they go out of print—especially modern holo prints—just isn’t accurate. Many standard V and EX cards no longer hold that kind of value, as they’re no longer considered chase cards. That may have been true 10–15 years ago, but the market has evolved. There are plenty of reliable, up-to-date pricing tools available today. Using them would help ensure fair, consistent pricing and build greater trust with customers.

Had the displeasure with dealing with the owner. Man would low ball and disrespect your collection, real rough with cards and binders. People like these shouldn't be in the hobby. Lack of common courtesy or manners for a grown adult man. Do not deal with this person

It's an absolutely amazing store with such amazing and friendly staff who are willing to help out customers. I highly recommend for anyone to bring others along to the store and have a look for themselves. The Staff are also incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to comics and the many different genres they have in the store.

I want this store to succeed, I want people to enjoy coming here, I want to enjoy coming here, and I want the reputation of this store to improve. I hope that you find yourself willing to listen to my review even if you think my criticisms are wrong, and I hope that changes can be made to make things feel fresh. The staff are nice, but some pushy. I think they should take a step back and let customers browse. They are very passionate, which is good, but I have had some situations where one staff member is explaining game concepts unprompted while I am browsing singles and reading card effects. I could tell them to stop, but it shouldn't fall on the customer to request to be left alone. Another staff member was really good at responding to game questions when asked, and didn't bother me too much while browsing unless I asked a question. There was another time where I was asking the staff a question about a specific product, and another staff member cut into the conversation and tried to upsell me on a separate item. I asked if they stocked the Vanguard reboot soon after it released, they said they ordered it in but had yet to arrive. I went in periodically from this point, enquiring about it, with the same answer. After a few months they still hadn't got that product in, while it was available in other places. They sell starter decks at market price only if they're worth more than the retail price, the rest outside of the new decks are still at retail price rather than being cheaper. Admittedly, this is common practice for some card stores in terms of MTG. For example, they have the first Digimon precon in stock, going for $99 vs the usual $25 - $30. I am unsure if they do this for their manga or figures. I think they could stand to lower prices on starter decks that don't sell so as to encourage new players to buy. They don't put prices on their manga (They're also sealed, so there would be no damage to the stock). Their manga is overpriced, as they seem to be converting directly from USD but not the current exchange rate. There are many reasonably priced options online. Stock that has been there for years is still there, either because prices aren't advertised or lowered. They have a sign outside and a flag that mentions a mega-sale, yet there is rarely ever anything on sale. I am assuming that manga is not their main source of income, but it really feels ornamental and an impediment on how comfortable it feels to be instore. They will do a bulk deal if you ask, which was very helpful. These are simply my observations, I have no clue how this business is run on the backend, maybe there are issues outside the control of the staff. Though, after visiting this store for a few years now, I really just don't like going in here. This is one of the only stores that sells things for the card games that I want, and so I still come in from time to time. Staff behavior has improved, though. All of this has dissuaded me from visiting, and I would not recommend this store unless there was something specific you were looking for that is not stocked in other stores.

The staff at the store are friendly and very knowledgable. There’s a great selection of manga books, action figures, Pops!, Magic: The Gathering, Pokemon:TCG, and a selection of other collectable things. The store is currently a pop-up store located at 189 Willis Street, Wellington.
