Card Merchant Westcity

Friendly and helpful staff. If you are after new TCG tho as a player make sure you go to there pre release because they will likely sell out before release, overall a good store.

I went to buy a binder for my collection, but the customer service was very disappointing. I waited several minutes at the counter while the staff were available, yet no one greeted me or asked if I needed help. I even had the impression they avoided making eye contact with me so they wouldn’t have to assist me. I don’t know if my appearance made them assume something about my personality, but that’s the feeling they gave me. I had to start the conversation myself to ask about stock. The response was simply, “We don’t have any,” without offering any alternatives or showing the slightest interest in helping. What disappointed me the most was seeing the next customer greeted with a smile and a completely different attitude. That difference in treatment made me feel discriminated against as a customer. I left without buying anything. Good customer service starts with a simple greeting and treating everyone with the same respect.

Our first time there. Came from south auckland because they had some stock that wasn't anywhere near us. We had an awesome experience. Great welcoming staff who were very helpful. Got everything we needed for a great price. We will definitely be back again. Have a great day guys!

Great staff with plenty of knowledge on the games they sell. On multiple occasions I have asked about board games and in response had rules or game play explained to me as if they had first hand game experience. I bug the team multiple times a month, sometimes weekly with small orders and they are always happy to help me and fill orders. They have tables set up for games in store whether that be for MTG, DnD, rift bound and on the school holidays they have a board game library available. Would definitely recommend you pop in and meet the crew!

This store never fails to have top quality service and products. From magic cards to pop vinyls they have everything you could need for any hobby. They host event nights and are so friendly to new players as well!. Such an awesome group of staff too!
