Very disappointing experience. I went in last afternoon hoping to buy some TCG packs, but the lady who served me was extremely rude, dismissive, and unhelpful. I was genuinely surprised by the attitude, especially as I was simply there as a customer looking to make a purchase. For a board game café/shop that should be welcoming to people interested in the hobby, the customer service was anything but welcoming. I left without buying anything and unfortunately won’t be returning. Hopefully they improve the way they speak to and treat customers in the future.

I dont normally write reviews, but the experience was so disappointing I felt compelled to. We had been once before in the old premises and it was fantastic. Happy, helpful, knowledgeable staff who asked you what type of games you liked and helped you shortlist 3. Then they would enthusiastically explain a rules summary so you could get started. This visit was very different. I booked for my wife's birthday at 10.00. They didnt turn up to open until 10.20. We were barely given a sheepish apology for the late open then told there are over 2000 games in the back, ask if you need help. They weren't very enthusiastic about the whole thing. We just went and picked something quick since we had something else booked after. The food prices are high and portion sizes small. It is not really a board games cafe any more it appears - it is just a cafe with board games in. Such a shame.

Customer WiFi and free ice water in a heatwave won't sink your business. I guess you can get away with charging exuberant prices when you're the only board game cafe in town. But if you do, I expect friendly staff and decent food and drinks at the very least.

Its a great board game cafe, but the price increases have now made it not a viable option for a family outing (if you went with friends who were paying for themselves it might be ok) but just over £50 for 1 adult, 2 children, one drink for each of us, 1 jar of sweets and 1 helping of crisps is too steep. Sadly won't be visiting again with the family, which is a real shame as the offerings of games and food is top notch

Amazing atmosphere and the staff are fantastic! Everyone was super friendly and helpful with selecting games and explaining rules to us. Huge selection of games in both the store and the bar area to try. We’re looking forward to coming back in the future!
