Went into the store to purchase some items and the manager approached my partner and said you are not welcome to shop in this store anymore because you are a scalper (untrue comment) My concerns are why confront my partner in this manner in front of the whole store in front of customers How unprofessional why not discuss this in a private area away from customers Made myself embarrassed and thought it was disrespectful!!!!!!!! For a high standard of customer service that has to be given in retail industry all the time This person lacks it so so much

Disappointing customer service (Hanley) Waited around 20 minutes to get into the store. I asked a member of staff downstairs if they had any new Pokémon stock and was told quite coldly, “Upstairs.” I went upstairs and asked a member of staff about three Pokémon singles displayed behind the counter. The member of staff wouldn't even turn around to speak to me, so I was effectively speaking to the back of his head. I was told I needed to check the website for pricing. I also asked whether they had any ETBs or UPCs available in store. The problem is that I couldn't find the individual singles on the website in the first place, so being directed there didn't actually answer my question. I was simply trying to find out the prices of cards that were physically displayed in the shop. When I went back downstairs, the same member of staff was asked by another customer whether there was any new "Pokémon card stuff". He told her, “No, nothing new, I'll save you the trip up.” This made me wonder why I hadn't simply been told the same thing when I asked initially. I was genuinely looking to spend £60+ on the singles and potentially another £50–£150 on sealed Pokémon products, so I was surprised that nobody was willing to check the prices or stock for me. I appreciate staff can be busy, but there were only two customers in the store at the time. The whole interaction came across as very unwelcoming and left me feeling like my custom wasn't wanted. I left without buying anything, which was particularly disappointing after waiting 20 minutes to get into the store and being genuinely excited to visit. will be avoiding the store for future buy's and will go elsewhere.

Couldn’t really ask for a better local, if you’re a collector it has pretty much anything you could want - decent prices too for the most part. Gent upstairs is sound as anything, very knowledgeable and willing to help, showed me where to find their card singles online and explained the what the conditions meant in terms of pricing.

I love visiting forbidden planet, especially in Hanley Stoke-On-Trent. I am always warmly welcomed by every worker there but, personally Roger and Vanessa shine out to me. This is because they always go out of their way to be as helpful as they can and you can see that they genuinely want you to get the best of what you want. The store always has the best stock and is always rotating at a good pace. As i have visited many different stores across england, this specific forbidden planet is my favourite due to the diligence and kindness of the workers. As well as, the variety of stock in figurines, blind boxes, large franchises with merch, plushies, bags etc. Love this store ☺️

I’m not a complaining sort of person but I travelled 45 minutes to come over and check out the comic selection. The comic section was incredibly limited on recent releases (I don’t expect boxes and boxes of back issues, but some recent releases and variants I’d hope to see). I did find a she spawn #1 and grabbed it. Sticker price was £3.50 but when I went to pay I was told the bag and board was 50p extra……guys, I accept comics aren’t what drive shops like this anymore but scabbing 50p out of nowhere for a bag and boards? Funko pops taking up near an entire floor? You’re just driving people away that want to give you custom I saw a sign for a comic club that meets up there. If any of you are reading this, how haven’t you called this out?
