Forbidden Planet

I popped in this fab shop looking for gifts for my son. The chap at the front helped me through the door with my walking aid and gave me a friendly smile. The shop was clean and well stocked. I went in with pictures on my phone for gift ideas and they searched and found what I wanted with smiles, friendly banter and a few giggles too! A thoroughly delightful experience. Would highly recommend. I do not write these reviews normally, but these guys deserve credit for their excellent customer service. Well done guys! 😁

Good collection of Manga, was looking for Delicious in Dungeon had the 6 I was looking for. Asked about The Walking Dead of which they didn't have the one I was looking for, but made some recommendations even though it meant they 'didn't get the sale'. Team all looked like they had a tough morning with Pokemon release but still super friendly.

Worst customer service ever!! Me and my friend (both young women) went in to purchase Smiskis and the cashier would not stop staring at her. This employee then asked where we worked and he joked that he would ‘follow you [my friend] too’. Absolutely outrageous!! The range of products may be fine, but if this is how young women are treated in the store, stay away!!

I LOVE THIS PLACE! It’s so nice with wonderful selection (though it does close quite early) and they even have coraline merch occasionally which is nice. The staff are some what welcoming, I wouldn’t say very talkative but respectful in a good way. I love the figures and badges there too and I go there every time I come to Leeds!

If I am ever visiting a city that is lucky enough to have a Forbidden Planet branch then I will absolutely adapt my plans around that and make sure I drop by. This particular branch compares very favourably with others I have seen. Ground floor is bright and welcoming, with well laid out eyecatching displays throughout. For me personally there's something about just standing in front of a well stocked shelf full of toys and taking it all in that somehow takes me back to my own childhood. I've got a bit more pocket money now, but still have to make some hard decisions. Then there is the usual descent into the basement level and all those lovely comics. Never fail to find something of interest here. This is the place where it's okay to buy toys and read comics whatever age you are, and long may it continue.
