Best place in Wales to to buy and play magic. There are an increasing number of stores who are selling Magic the Gathering but it's always a lesser focus to Pokémon or Warhammer etc (which is all good they are very popular and also fun). Magic seems like the main focus at Dragon Vault and you get helped by owners and staff who genuinely like and play the game which changes the whole interaction. Pricing is competitive even with online options, it's well stocked, opening hours are good for playing and it has a nice casual vibe. My favourite place to go to buy and play Magic.

Phenomenal shop, staff are friendly and eager to talk about hobbies of all variety. Their Magic nights are always packed full of players. As a Warhammer hobbyist their selection is great and steadily growing to include more options. Happy to have this as my LGS.

Great shop with a good atmosphere. Definitely leans heavier towards magic the gathering but other tcg games tend to be available too. Staff and owner are welcoming and great to talk to. Seems like a great place to go to play the games and pick up some extra bits while you're at it. All round, tidy shop.

Visited for the first time on a Friday and honestly wasn't impressed. The shop was very dark, making it difficult to see products and read prices. The price labels were extremely small and hard to read. I only wanted to have a look around and get a feel for the place, but I felt pressured rather than being left to browse at my own pace. The younger gentleman working in the shop seemed to be watching me very closely, which made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome as a first time visitor. There were also people playing in the shop, and because of the atmosphere, I genuinely wondered if I had arrived at a bad time or was interrupting a tournament. After leaving, I checked the opening hours and saw the shop was still open, so I was surprised by how uncomfortable I felt just trying to look around. I was also told they don't sell loose cards apart from the ones in the display case, despite seeing what appeared to be other loose cards around the shop, which was confusing. As a first time visitor, all I wanted to do was have a look around and see what the shop had to offer. Unfortunately, the overall experience wasn't very welcoming, and I'll be taking my business to other local card shops instead.

An immensely inviting and environment friendly to those who don't have a lot of TCH experience (like myself). Joining today for a birthday event we've been accommodated with bringing in our party items and the host, Chris, has helped us with ensuring each person is comfortable and that the entire space is both clean and safe. You'll be seeing more of myself each week!
