Waterstones York

I went to this waterstones the other week for a specific book. I couldn't see it on the shelf anywhere so I asked a staff member for help. I didnt catch her name but she was beyond helpful . She was adamant to find this book. She looked high and low and eventually found it . I was so grateful for the help . She was so lovely and a huge credit to the store. The whole store is clean and organised and the cafe is also very lovely and the staff there are great too . This waterstones is great and I can't wait to go back :)

It’s always a pleasure to visit a Waterstones and browse the shelves. Unfortunately, this branch didn’t feel particularly inviting compared to others I’ve visited. The layout seemed a little messy in places and the categorisation of books wasn’t always clear, which made browsing less enjoyable than expected.

So many books, attentive staff and a wonderful cafe.

Really good variety and good layout. Loved the options of the books, had a couple I’d not seen being sold anywhere else. I didn’t check out the cafe but they do have one upstairs for those wanting a drink as they read.

Really excellent bookshop and place to hide from your responsibilities 😀. York has a little cafe with comfy seating and two floors of books, you may struggle to leave without spending money though. The staff are friendly and helpful.
