Very useful place to have in town, got a book ordered and was super quick.

I have bought from this particular Waterstones for many years and it has never let me down. The shelves are very neatly organised and clearly labelled, and the staff is always nearby to help you find suitable books for your taste! I have also used click & collect with this branch and it has never let me down! Different staff members have served me at this counter, but they have all been super lovely people who engage with the book(s) you are purchasing!

I popped into Waterstones on a whim, just for a browse, and ended up having a fantastic experience thanks to Hannah. I had a few questions about different translations of the Bible, and Hannah was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and understanding. She took the time to explain the differences clearly and even offered thoughtful recommendations based on what I was looking for. It’s rare to find someone so genuinely helpful and enthusiastic about their work. Her passion for books and excellent customer service really stood out and made my visit a pleasure. Thank you, Hannah, for going above and beyond – I’ll definitely be back! Hannah is a real asset to the team, and her level of knowledge and professionalism was outstanding. In my opinion, she definitely deserves a raise for the way she goes the extra mile to help customers and create such a positive experience.

Approaching Waterstones Croydon from the ground floor, I thought it was a small book shop but it turns out if you go upstairs it is much bigger. The selection of books are really good and they sell novelties and other nifty gadgets.
