Board game selection is great, the only place we found that has Caverna. Drinks are fine. One genuine point of confusion is when service charge was added, it was almost 50% of the price of my £2.60 coffee (£1.08) which means it was also added on top of the £6 gaming fee which is NOT fair in my opinion. Staff don't provide a service for this, unlike bringing coffee/drinks over. Response: Then I would say increase your prices clearly rather than doing so in a stealthy and sneaky way through "service charge". There are other BGCs that do not do this and are upfront about their pricing method and even offer NHS/Blue Light Discounts. ;)

Have come for some magic with friends a few times and I really love this place. Just a pain for me to travel to/from really but it's honestly a neat little store. Much better suited to those who want niche boardgames more than anything else but that doesn't mean you can't find MTG or other TCGs here. Food is pretty mint too, just gotta be patient if the store is slammed.

Very well laid out LGS which caters for both casual and hardcore gamers, plus folks just wanting to try boardgames out a little. Great range of stock to buy, library of games to borrow and an excellent selection of food and drink. All topped off with a clean, Comfy and tidy shop, clean loos (not always the case with games shops sadly, but no issues here) all held together with friendly, helpful, knowledgeable staff. Games store and board game cafe done right, plus the food is good enough for a visit on it's own. Update for June 2025, still rock solid both on the food and games front. New pic of an obscure old SPI game added. Sept 2025 update. Remains a top tier spot with amazing food and a great vibe. April 2026 update. Still an examplary LGS

I've been to many board game cafes in London, but this one stands out as my absolute favorite! I visited today with a friend, and the experience was nothing short of amazing. We decided to play Tokaido, and Nick, the owner, did a fantastic job explaining the rules quickly and clearly, making it easy for us to jump right in. We ended up playing with three other visitors who happened to be there at the same time, and the group dynamic made the game even more enjoyable. The atmosphere of the cafe is welcoming and fun, perfect for meeting new people and trying out different games. On top of that, the hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows I ordered was absolutely delicious—I'd highly recommend it if you're visiting! 😋
