All the staff are brilliant in this place ! Great selection of multiple tcgs! Can spend hours looking through the Pokemon bulk at the shop !

Pretty poor experience. Pokemon “guru” seems to think overcharging a card by £20 is a normal thing in the hobby and didn’t seem too interested in explaining why. Proceeded to speak extremely poorly to multiple children whilst I was in the store. Perhaps retail isn’t for you if that what you are saying to children. Overall pretty disappointed although they have previously been a very reliable and good place to go for releases. I hope they get back to their roots.

It's unfortunate that I have to give this a 3* because some of the things I experienced were really good, 2 out 3 friendly staff, great atmosphere, great products etc. However, one staff member really brought the experience down with a level of rudeness that i've not encountered in a TCG shop before. I don't know the staff members name but he had a beard, and from the off he was hostile and rude towards myself and other people in my group. When I asked about a product to see if its right for what I have I was met with a level of disdain and rudeness and the experience was extra overwhelming as i'm autistic so it was very confusing. I do want to come back as the other staff members were lovely and the stock was good but its such a shame that is marred the experience.

Decked out in Guisborough recommended Pro Tech games to take my old original set of Pokemon cards from the 1990’s - 2000’s for them to possibly purchase. I had a lot of different cards from my childhood kept in not perfect but decent condition. I had checked a good few of them on the TCG card identifier app. The girl came and said she would take a look, she asked how much I’m looking for and would I prefer cash or credit, I replied “I don’t have a certain price whatever you would offer as I trust your expert advice?”. She replied “I’ll check them out and be back shortly”. Some little time had past, the gentleman I’m assuming is the owner came over handed me the book and said “not something we are willing to purchase as there’s a couple of fakes in with them, and we don’t do cash we just do credit”. I felt quite embarrassed and disheartened as I wouldn’t have known any were ‘fake’ as they said from having them for so many years, and why offer cash if that wasn’t an option in the first place?. Disappointed at the service sadly.

Excellent store, staff (especially Percy) are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They are helping me set up a boardgame club and really couldn't have been more helpful or supportive! Will definitely be shopping here for personal gaming too
