Jakes Breaks

Met with Dan (manager) today when I took my 11 year old in for the 1st time, and he was brilliant. We went in knowing absolutely nothing about any of this, and he took his time explaining everything. Collecting, value, what to look out for in a way that made it all easy to understand. Proper top guy and great with kids. We’ll definitely be back.

Lovely shop lots of cards to choose from, staff all very friendly, my partner bought some cricket cards and I was undecided, I left and came back having settled on some Deadpool cards, the kind man in the shop gave me a numbered card with my purchase because I am came back, customer service makes all the difference, glad we popped by, will be keeping an eye on the website since we live far from the shop, thank you so much :))

I recently visited Jakes Breaks Card Shop while hunting for the Charizard promo from the Ultra-Premium Collection (Mega Evolution). Dan mentioned he thought he had one in stock, but after a quick search couldn’t find it and assumed it must’ve already sold. Fair enough. What really stood out was the follow-up. He took my number just in case one came in, and sure enough, three days later he messaged me with a photo of one he’d just received. No pressure, just a heads-up which is rare and really appreciated. I offered to pay straight away, but he was relaxed about it and just asked when I’d next be in. I popped in on Saturday and picked it up without any hassle. Great customer service, friendly vibe, and clearly someone who looks after their customers. Will definitely be back. TLDR: Went in for a Charizard, left empty-handed… then got summoned like a Pokémon trainer 3 days later to claim my shiny prize. ✨

Absolutely 10/10 – an amazing store. Our son spent six months in hospital, and Jake’s Breaks read our story/article and very kindly gifted him a signed Lando Norris Topps Dynasty card. My wife and I were completely shocked by the generosity shown. We actually named our son after Lando Norris, so this gesture meant more to us than words can describe. We still can’t quite believe the kindness and generosity from this shop. From our whole family to yours, thank you so much and we truly wish you every success. Thank you 🙏

Jakes Breaks is the go-to store (and website) for card collectors and tabletop gamers in Beeston, Nottingham and further afield. They have a great stock of cards, figures and other merchandise for a wide range of franchises including Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Lorcana and One Piece. They also have a wide variety of collectible sports cards including football, baseball and basketball collectibles. It's worth noting that the business does its best to offer better trade-in prices than its competitors. The members of staff are very friendly, helpful and super-knowledgeable about card trading and tabletop gaming.
