Game Guru - Solihull

The coolest place ever! A very nice chill laid back vibe with lots of board games, a great selection of food and drinks too. Nikki and Alex were super welcoming and accommodating! And made our time there even better, so thank you to both of you! Would definitely recommend!

Excellent service, with great staff who are very welcoming and helpful. A good selection of boardgames to play in the store and to buy. My only criticism is the massive windows along the side of the store, it can feel a bit awkward playing games and eating food while people walk past and stare in at you. Maybe some posters or decals would help break up the window a bit. The food is excellent, balancing good quality with plenty of options. This is exactly what Solihull needed and I look forward to visiting as often as I can.

Had the best afternoon here, wasn’t expecting to enjoy it as much as we did. We went just the two of, so some games we wanted to play were 4 player +, but Adrianna recommended ‘Ticket to ride’ and we loved it so much we’ve bought the game! It’s cheap to play & has drinks and food to offer too. Adrianna was super helpful and really friendly (&knows a good game when she sees one!) would definitely recommend!

Really good experience! Had the niece for the weekend and decided to go with my mate and his daughter. Got there about 15 minutes early and the table was already ready and reserved for us. Really good choice of games! Despite it being full, there was plenty of games to choose from so don’t ever feel like you’ll miss out on your favourites. Staff were really attentive. Checked in multiple times. They even reminded us that we had an hour left and gave us the opportunity to add an hour if we wanted. I imagine this is situational but gave us an option if we didn’t want to stop the fun. Prices were good too. £6 per person for 2 hours was a steal (think it ended up being slightly cheaper for the younger kids). 3 hours was only £8 each. Didn’t end up trying the food. Lots of choice which I’m always weary about but plenty of light snacks if you wanted them during playing. Can’t imagine they’ll be mind blowing quality but everyone else seemed to be enjoying their food. 5-star and the only negative I’d say is the Wifi didnt work well on the phone menu/ordering so had to go the bar. It was busy though so imagine it was at capacity (and no doubt someone’s kid was probably taking all the bandwidth on an iPad). Probably something to look into BUT you’re there to play games so it’s not the worst thing. Also like the incentive to “lock away” all your phones and get 10% of your bill. Didnt do it but think more places should offer this. There was also a shop to give you opportunity to buy games you’ve played, along with other memorabilia. Thought that was a nice touch and had I been a little nicer, would have made my wallet even lighter! Back of the place though so not at all overbearing. Really classy. Will definitely be back again! Worth checking out 100%.

Such a fun place with an amazing atmosphere✨✨The board game selection was great, you can find lots of different games for all ages. The staff were really friendly and helped us choose games to play. The food was really good too, fresh, tasty and perfect while gaming. Definitely one of the best spots to relax, eat and spend quality time with friends and family. Can’t wait to come back againXx
