Great place. Perfect to hang out and play games. Good coffee, and excellent cookies. Friendly staff too. We'll be back!

Really friendly, welcoming venue. Staff were so accommodating with our game of warhammer, gifting us a mat for the game. Lots of room, and a huge selection of board games and cooked food available. The only suggestion I have would be some vegan food options to be available. Otherwise, would solidly recommend

Sadly I had a very poor tournament experience at this store with todays summoner skirmish. There are a few reasons for this which made it ultimately a shame. 1) Prizing/Pricing. At £15 entry it was one pack per person on entry, and one pack for the winner, with myself at second place leaving empty handed. This is awful prizing to cost ratio and something I would expect to pay maybe £5-7 for. After speaking to a handful of local players, they advised that this is fairly common for this store. The fact there was no Riftbound packs available should have meant that the price of the ticket was adjusted or the store should have put aside packs and not sold them so they could be used for this tournament. 2) Tournament Organisation. We were unable to submit our deck lists via the normal application on UVS and instead submit our decks via a store email. Decks were never checked at all for the event. This led to myself having to take a picture of my deck and send it over in a rush. 3) Judging and Clarification. Skirmishes are supposed to follow a format of swiss in to top cut, and was advertised as such. If there is a decision to not have top cut, this needs to be explained to players at the start of the tournament. Before the 3rd and final round my opponent and I decided to draw the game being that we were both at top table at the end of swiss. This is very standard play as it allows both players to use the round time to do something else, and guarantee's both players the top cut. Before agreeing to this I went to speak to the TO to discuss if this is something we are able to do, and explained that the way this works is it guarantee's both of us top cut. They ultimately agreed on this. At the end of the round we were then informed that the tournament was over, and that there would be no top cut. The tournament had then been closed. This meant that the final game on table 1 never happened, the win and prizing was awarded by default based on tie breakers. We were informed that this is how the system works, however I have played many tournaments before and am aware this is not how the system automatically works. If this is the case, then something needed to be done regarding the agreed upon double draw resulting in a non-determinative final game. When the prizing is as expensive as it is and is important for higher level events it is important things are run or communicated properly which in this instance did not happen. Ultimately I will leave a 2-star review as aside from these issues, the staff were nice, the venue is pleasant and the players were a treat. If these issues had not occurred without any attempt at a resolution beyond a shrug, I would have had a very enjoyable experience. EDIT* I have since been informed that when I left the worker there called me greedy and talked poorly about me to another customer. Considering the lacklustre reply also I have decided to reduce this to 1 star. I would strongly recommend avoiding playing at this place.

I was really craving a bit of TCG action, so thought I'd pop down to the store to buy some new Pokémon cards and I was really blown away by the staff and the store. Everyone was super friendly and gave great customer service, especially Ben - he has a lot of skill! I will absolutely return to the shop again the next time I want some new cards!
