Area51

Went in here with the kids to buy some Pokémon cards. The staff were very helpful and even explained how to play the game.

Staff were very unhelpful, wanted to buy a Pokemon booster box but they claimed they had no more in stock due to ‘preorders’ and so I then asked how to preorder these but 2 employees then stumbled over their words and said something about a ‘special list’, couple minutes after I purchased all I could, someone else asked the same question and was served on the spot. I understand people have their favourites but to get a relationship with this place seems impossible, feels unwelcoming and somewhat feel pushed out the door. Wouldn’t bother giving them business in all honesty.

I’ve been a customer for a long time now, Ian and the guys are always fair and decent to me. Great old school: TCG, gaming and comic shop.

I really want to like this shop but they make it really hard. It's messy and dark which wouldn't be so problematic if the staff weren't so unhelpful. I've been in several times and never once actually been shown what I asked for dispite it being on the shelf. I appreciate retail jobs suck but you still need to put the bare minimum. They must be losing so many sales just from the shop being so uninviting.

I came to this store on Wednesday 13th August with my two sons (4 and 2) to buy some pokemon cards for them. We were warmly greeted and my boys perused their extensive collection without any bother or complaint. The staff were understanding of the noise of young, excited children and helped foster an interest in the game in two young minds - lovely store and staff!
