Blatant Price Gouging I went to buy some Pokémon products that were on display in the store. When I asked the price, the person who helped me called their manager, and I clearly heard them telling the manager not to sell them to me because the prices were going up. This is disrespectful to the customer and a clear example of price gouging. If you have products for sale, you should sell them at the recommended price instead of trying to take advantage of the market. (Update) The lack of professionalism and the childish tone with which you responded to my review says much more about your business than any review could. If those products weren't for sale, why were they accessible to the public behind the counter? Was your employee unaware of it? Not to mention, of course, that I HEARD you on the phone saying that the prices were going up. "No, no, those aren't for sale, they're going up, I'm taking them home," your exact words. It's about having ethical business practices and respecting your customers. To suggest that I went to buy to speculate is a pretty weak excuse for why you didn't want to sell me something you already had. I wasn't going to take all the products, just the one I wanted to open, the one I've been looking for for months. Indeed, my friend and I left a negative review because we were going to work hard to open the booster box and split the cost. We were disappointed with you because we were excited to find a product like this in store. Not everyone buys to resell; some of us simply want to collect without stores like yours inflating prices or hiding products when it suits them. Finally, the way you respond to a simple review, resorting to personal attacks and mockery, makes it clear what kind of treatment other customers can expect. I used this shop as a Celeritas location for a package. He was very helpful. It has been 15 years since my (bad:) habits of table top gaming but after 30 seconds in his wonderful shop I was inspired!!
